I wonder...as we onshore manufacturing do we also we onshore inflation as a result of wage inflation for higher paying US manufacturing jobs.
While some "experts" claim inflation is transitory (whatever that means), I'm not so sure.

$250k seems to be lot of dough for the privilege of getting TRP’s closed funds.
As you know, Vanguard investors need $1M (Flagship status) to access certain closed Vanguard funds.
@BenWP,
I'm glad you found the PV chart helpful.
PV Analysis Results allow users to easily compare important metrics (CAGR, max. drawdown, Sortino, etc.).
I've found PV to be very useful during the fund evaluation process.
Ms. Lazar definitely thinks outside the box.
Her capex and inflation projections surprised me.
Time will tell whether this comes to fruition, but her thesis is thought-provoking nonetheless.
In the Foreign Large Blend category, I like SCIEX and MIEIX*.
The SCIEX management team also manages 30% of VWILX.
MIEIX has below average costs, low turnover, and usually provides good downside protection.
Mr. Ling started managing MIEIX on 10/01/2…
I don't care if an active fund tracks an index on the upside, but I do care if it tracks an index on the downside. The SPY lost like 38% in the GFC while PRBLX was down only 22. I'll take positioning & performance like that anyday.

The article is stupid because of what it says:
Try to imagine what would happen if stocks lost 70% and stayed down for years.
What useful or actionable comes from such imagining? To anyone?
And what would have been the conditions for such? Aste…
Thanks for all the input and interesting ideas.
I missed the M* article, but I have dropped a lot of their stuff as it is all nonsense.

Just scanned the Krugman article. But inflation is sure to be “weaponized” by the right - has already been to an extent. (What’s new there?)
The right lacks any coherent policies or initiatives other than opposing all Democratic ideas.
They'll cont…

Roth IRA used to have $2,000 limit when it started in 1998. Many people don’t have jobs with 401K) and 403(b) plans. How can one save enough for retirement with $6,000 and 1,000 catch-up, per year?

I didn't interpret your comment that way.
Speaking from experience, sometimes doing nothing is the best option but it may be difficult not to tinker.
I believe Jack Bogle said: "Don‘t Do Something - Just Stand There!"
This is in response to stillers preceding post which was subsequently deleted.
The gist of the original article suggests that overconfidence leads to excessive trading which often results in lower returns. These particular issues are not necessaril…
IMHO, this is the best "cash" option available today if your holding period is at least one year.
However, you can only purchase $10K of I-Bonds per year (additional $5K possible using tax refund).

Last year the SEC temporarily suspended trading of Zoom Technologies (ZOOM) partly because investors were confusing it with Zoom Video (ZM). Zoom Technologies also had not publicly disclosed any financial information since 2015.

There has been plenty of discussion about whether recent inflation is transitory or not.
The "experts" disagree on this topic.
Here's a look at S&P 500 (and its predecessor) calendar year returns along with annual inflation.

I don't have much confidence in the M* Quant Ratings after reading a few of them.
Although M* Analyst Ratings are often much better, the quality varies and is dependent on an analyst's skill level.
