    Many arguments that Charlie Kirk was more than happy to throw Jews under the bus to gain traction for MAGA:

    Jewish control conspiracies: On his podcast in 2023, Kirk accused Jews of controlling "not just the colleges—it's the nonprofits, it's the movies, it's Hollywood, it's all of it," a sweeping claim that echoed long-standing conspiracy theories about Jewish power.

    Blaming Jewish donors for "anti-whiteness": Kirk repeatedly claimed that Jewish donors were a primary source of funding for liberal and "anti-white" causes.

    "Replacement theory" rhetoric: He has promoted "replacement theory," a fringe conspiracy theory that alleges Jews are trying to replace white Americans with nonwhite immigrants.

    Blaming Jewish philanthropists for campus antisemitism: In 2023, after the October 7 Hamas attack, he claimed Jewish philanthropy funding American universities was "subsidizing your own demise by supporting institutions that breed Anti-Semites".

    Jewish critics' analysis: Jewish commentators and outlets noted a tension between Kirk's pro-Israel stance and rhetoric that echoed antisemitic stereotypes. An opinion blog in The Times of Israel argued that "grief does not allow for toxic myth-making" and detailed instances that Jewish people found unsettling, even with his pro-Israel positions.

    It is my opinion that Charlie Kirk had no use for Jews. He only saw Israel as necessary for biblical prophecy and the Second Coming. He was far from the only evangelical Christian to feel this way, in my opinion.
    ....And how many evangelical "Christians" are in MAGA? Yup...
  • What political talkers REALLY believe? I had a buddy who worked with a very famous right wing blow hard. He knew the guy very well. He told me the guy didn’t believe any of the right wing garbage he put out. He saw it as a way to get very wealthy. And very wealthy he became. Some of these guys are just in it for the money and aren’t true believers at all.
  • That, as I am certain you are thinking, is even worse. And says a lot about how they perceive their "marks". Easy to fool, eager to 'believe" something/anything. Easy to lead to anyplace their "shepherds" choose to lead them.
  • LarryB’s observations are clearly correct. Merely take a look at some of the leaders of the Republican Party. Sen Cancun, Sen Hawley, Secretary Rubio and others we’re all originally moderate Republicans, but when they realized the voting power of the MAGA movement, they all quickly shifted their positions to hard right Republican, so that they could assure themselves power and wealth by hitching onto the Donald Trump star. Kirk is also an example himself. Originally, he was a fiscal conservative with libertarian tendencies. As he stated to Wired magazine in 2018, he was quite dubious about Trump. But as he watched the MAGA movement grow, he quickly began to adopt far hard right views.

    Remarkably, he positioned himself as a champion of free speech. At the same time, however, he told his followers that they should seek out and report the writing and speech of any liberal professors, school, teachers and public employees, so that they would be humiliated and fired. The irony of this intolerance escaped most of his followers, who bought into the free speech charade. Even now, his ardent followers have engaged in a concerted effort to seek out anyone who has published any comments that do not reflect appropriate sorrow at his death. They are once again seeking the termination of any professors, school teachers or public or private employees, and they have had a significant degree of success. The NYT has a long article which detailed these efforts. I am no longer a public employee, so I am not shy about saying that his speech was hateful, vile, racist, and anti Jew, but for any of you who remain in public employment, be aware that his free speech followers are making a concerted effort to terminate your employment if your comments do not reflect the required degree of sadness.

    @Mark,

    Thanks for the read. James Bouie either leaves out or underplays the Christian nationalist angle. Charlie Kirk won't be missed or glorified by me.
  • Attention posters. Be advised folks who publicly did not respect the legacy of Kirk have lost their jobs. Free speech in America is no longer free.
