Dear Leader fires Fed Governor Lisa Cook

  • If Bill Pulte repeated misfires, how long before he himself gets fired? If keeping records, his 1st misfire was on Fed Chair Powell, 2nd may be on Fed Governor Cook.

FHFA is the agency that supervises the GSEs Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHLBanks (11 FHLBs). He must have lot of free time on his hands for looking into personal mortgage application-level details.

From Wiki, he has been only briefly involved (2016-20 Board seat) with PulteGroup/PHM that was founded by his grandfather. Pulte family doesn't seem to have a big or controlling stake in PHM.

Misfires are no reason to be fired in this administration...if anything, the chaos they cause is embraced by their boss to score short-term PR political points.

Trump's request to remove Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook was rejected. :-)
The administration could ask the Supreme Court to intervene but the next Fed meeting begins 9/16/2025.

"Cook sued soon after Trump’s announcement, triggering a high-stakes battle over the president’s authority
to control the central bank. She says Trump violated the Federal Reserve Act because he didn’t provide
a valid basis for her removal. The statute provides that the president can only remove a member of the Fed board for cause."

"Cook hasn’t been charged with a crime, and, in court filings, has denied committing mortgage fraud.
In her most recent submission, her lawyers say the complete property records 'reveal the opposite'
    of what the administration claims."
