Yogi, thanks. I am so disgusted with much going on. I do own PRILX for many years. It has been the worst year 2022 for much of what i have. At age 88 I want to avoid anything that makes 2022 so bad.
I should have mentioned, my fund is PRILX, the institutional version, a lower ER. I do own a couple of funds for less added exposure. BKLC, CFAGX, APDRX
Hank, thank you. My quick check shows PRFDX as more volatile with higher returns. Both RPSIX and ALAAX are good steady returns that I am interested in. I will spend more time but that you.
A similar preparation is mine at age 87 and focusing on using best way of increasing cash flow, so a bond should help with high dividends etc. Perhaps high dividend paying
positions like NUSI
at my age 87 with perevious and current investing plans I avoid anythiing to do with COIN. Sorry to avoid coins but there are some reasons to buy if young and want to learn more. I don't have time.
This is why I have owned one stock in part BA-Boeing for 45 years and will never sell it. I am also 87 in April. There were times when I owned a great deal more.
LewisBraham I meant to include you when I sent a reply to Crash. Seems I have enough ideas also suggested by you. I also thinking of using an international fund VXUS to include with the Bond funds since It's a fairly large amount.
Crash, I have looked over and thought a couple of your suggestions looked ok and better than what I have. I found that RPHYX, SUBFX,RPSIX, were all better if they maintain it. The Vanguard VTEB although tax free still looks good even in the IRA wher…
I own WATFX only in IRA. Desire Income, Diversity and don't own any other bond funds. I am 87 with 85 year old wife. Now renting in Four Seasons Apt in Beachwood, Ohio. Have Schwab accounts. Only have one taxable joint account, rest IRA and Roth.
I decided to try another fund I own PRILX and compare with VTMFX and VTCLX. I looks like it still leaves VTMFX as least volatile as well as having Bonds for much more diverse. So I expect to use VTMFX.
I'm looking at 2 posibilities, VTMFX and VTCLX. I do own some in regular IRA's and they cover a wide range of the best companies. The volatility and total return do differ but both can be held depending how much and long you expect to own them. You …
Mark, not necessarily for income but over all the years I have done most everything but now can't decide where to focus. It depends mostly on the market and our 2 regular IRA's are well invested broadly. I even had FPF years ago and other prefered s…
