It took them about a week to get this sorted out and fixed. My VOYA funds that were effected by this were showing a 8/31 closing price on Monday. Hopefully, the nav as posted was correct.
I plan to split some of my BWLAX off through American Becon's nav exchange program once Bridgeway Large Cap Growth gets moved over. I'll go with the A shares in this fund since this will be a nav exchange for me.
Fact, there is believed to still be a lot of leverage currently remaining in the capital markets.
In a downturn, usually leverage postions of investors get closed before margin calls are made. I have no way of knowing how much leverage is curren…
Hi Catch22,
I am a little down thus far this year myself. And, in looking at some of my better rated hybrid funds and the Lipper Balanced Index itself I am ahead of them thus far this year ... so, I score myself, well ahead of them ... But, not li…
Hi @JohnChisum and others ... Just pondering here ... and, glad I currently have a large cash position.

Perhaps even twenty five cents on the dollar might indeed be to much for a scalper to pay for an Illinois IOU. They could offer winners a bond in exchange for their IOU. Wonder if they would have any takers?
Although it took about a week to get fixed ... as of Monday (8/31) evening my VOYA funds were being reported correctly in both Yahoo Finance Portfolio and Morningstar Portfolio Manager.
I wonder if some who are holding these Lottery IOU's would take 25 cents, or so, on the dollar for their ticket rights? Seems to me there might be opportunity for the ticket holder as well as a scalper.
Hi folks,
Reducing (trimming) some equity fund positions in the growth area of portfolio with sizeable gains since 2008 & 2009 (booking profit) and letting sell proceeds settle to cash. I am thinking there will be some good buying opportunitie…
Linked below is another site I visit to get short interest information. Not to be confused with margin debt ... but, a good number of folks use some sort of leverage when they short.

Hi @MikeW,
Adjusting one’s stock allocation based upon the upward and downward movement of the market can indeed be a task.
Columbia Thermostat Fund (CTFAX) adjusts its stock allocation based upon the upward or downward movement of the S&P 500…
@Scott,
I need your insight ... Because July and August have been the two months thus far this year that I have had to deal with SNAFU by others.

Hi @Catch22,
I knew of this problem before Ted made his post. And, yes ... I read the articles. In addition, I got my post up yesterday evening (8/26) around 7:00 EDT after the market closed and the two funds had failed to update with correct pri…
Hi bee,
Thanks for your input. However, I think the information shown is of suspect along with perhaps the good doctor copper. Think I'll find another.
I just checked Yahoo Finance main screen ... not portfolio as you show ... and, what is shown…
Indeed I'd like to know that to. The only fund that I am aware of that adjust it's stock and bond allocation to the valuation of the S&P 500 Index is Columbia's Thermostat Fund (CTFAX). If there are others that use signals to position I'd defi…
Hi @MikeM,
That is great. Been playing now more than forty years and never had one (came close a few times) in regulation play. Now I have holed a few just knocking ball into greens form time to tme. Down where I live the newspaper will do a sho…
I hope this will help as I found the equity allocation: 2015 (36%) ... 2014 (37%) ... 2013 (38%) ... 2012 (37%) ... & 2011 (36%). From this, I am thinking the bond allocation will be about 60% plus or minus a couple of percent and cash will mos…
Hi Old_Joe,
I have a tracking system set up in Morningstar's Portfolio Manager ...
Here are the year-to-date results that I follow. A 60%equity/40%bond portfolio down 3.7% ytd, Old_Skeet down 4.9% ytd, A S&P 500 Index fund down 7.2% ytd while…
Hi Folks,
I am still within a mid range allocation to equities within my asset allocation that currently falls somewhere between 45% to 50%. A high range for me would be around 60% and a low range would be around 40%. Currently, I've got my buyi…
I could not get the spiff open before the markets closed yesterday; however, my open buy orders for the mutual funds in family portfolios did fill yesterday rounding out some positions. As a long term investor I believe I did pick up some good valu…
Old_Skeet is buying in some funds mostly in the growth area of family portfolios to round out some positions. I have not yet open a spiff (special investment) position, as I write; but, I just might before the day is out.
Here is an update from a technical point of view that value is starting to prevail in the market for the long term investor.

Thanks for posting as I enjoyed the read. I have much the same posture as you in that I have a certain level of trust in my fund managers. Should concerns elevate to the point where I come to have good doubt in this trust then I have an option, at…
@Lawlar
Hi again Lawlar,
I think another thing that influences market prices is the use of leverage by big money and others. Some of these cats have direct link to the US Treasury through the Plunge Protection Team which was created by Ronald Rea…
Hi @expatsp,
Thanks for stopping by and for making comment.
Pretty neat ... it seems and as you point out ... the graph can be used form both a momentum and value perspective.
Kind'a clever.
Hi @Lawlar,
Thanks for stopping by and making comment about your experience. I think this is an experience to share that some might not be aware of.

Hi @VintageFreak,
I think I know what you are saying ... and, here is what I do.

I own BWLAX, Bridgeway Large Cap Value, which is one of six funds held within my large/mid cap sleeve and plan to stay with it. Should American Beacon decided to liquidate it ... Well, I just will close my position and take my cash and move to some…

Thanks Ted for posting ...
I was wondering about this information form Bespoke and was going to try and look it up. I think what is most interesting is that it reflects that the 500 Index is oversold well into the 2nd deviation while most all of …

Hi @Scott & @Sven,
Thanks for your comments on Pimco All Asset.

Thinking of selling all of PASAX (a fund held within my hybrid income sleeve) and replacing with JNBAX or BAICX. I was close to doing this about a year or so ago but held off because I felt it was ready to make an upward turn. In hindsight, I shou…
Hi bee,
Although, I agree, it might be a complex thing to do Morningstar seems to be able do it for funds that hold any equities. In addition, they provide both TTM and forward estimates as a tool in Portfolio Manager for each fund held within my …
Hi LLJB,
Thank you for making a post on deep value funds.
One of the things that I look at beside what you noted above is P/E Ratios, both TTM and forward estimates. Take TDVFX which has a forward P/E Ratio of 11.8 and KGGAX at 10.0 both being …
