I guess Gloomberg thought showing percentage declines would not catch readers' attention!
I generally do not read their articles or watch them except occasionally Bloomberg Technology and ETF IQ and regularly Real Yield. Even then I have to appl…
Let us not be cheerleaders.
Good day to make sense of various tickers in one’s watch list / portfolio. We are also in earnings season and so make sure to account for earnings release related news before jumping to conclusions.
Also don't forget that when a fund manager publicly offers a prediction, they've probably already made their move to prepare, so people acting on their words in the media may not be as 'timely' positioned as they think.
Thanks for the PSA. Good r…
Will DeepSeek be the pin to the bubble?
Stay tuned.
YBB,
Necessity is the mother of invention. US companies have lost their minds with unlimited access to capital and Nvidia chips. So, they did not have to be disciplined. A $500B joke!

Thanks, @stillers. Sounds prudent.
I don't plan on adjusting my PRWCX holding, if you were wondering, BaluBalu....in fact I made my annual 10K contribution to it late last month.
Not just PRWCX but equity allocation overall from 2024 peak equity …
I thought David Giroux is the gold standard and now that it is revealed he has a SPY target of 5,300 for end of 2025, we move on to someone else who will vouch for what we want.
Too many posters in this forum have become propagandists / activists…
Thank you @WABAC for sharing. 75 to 42% is huge. Good for you.
My equity allocation has not changed by my own deliberate actions but managers have reduced equities or increased allocation to cash. E.g., PRWCX is down to 55% equity (per David Gi…
Look at who are predicting 6500 - 4 of 5 largest market participating banks. That is 6.5% from here. Probably easier to make that much with reasonably comfortable bond funds.
David Giroux’s 5300 is a 14% drop from here. So many members of this…
One more good thread at MFO gets trashed.
Bond fund managers are able to keep FD away but the posters in this forum are sitting ducks. Just deal with his relentless abuse.
I would like a forum feature to ignore a thread so I do not visit it onc…
YBB, I think the OP wants them at Fido and VG. I no longer buy any bonds at Schwab. I just own bunch of USFR - I get that 15 bps is nothing to sneeze about and one does not have to worry about cap gain distributions from USFR. Your breakevens ca…
@hank, I have not been visiting this thread [NOT] even to scan because posters refused to accept the scope of the thread laid out in my initial posts. I did mention I turned off notifications for this thread. Sorry if self governance has not been…
When you are required to have an agent place a trade, I ask the agent if he would waive the fees and they usually do.

What are you trying to accomplish by wanting to increase Duration usi…
not different from what David Giroux said.
Irreverence is in vogue. It speaks volumes about comprehension skills.
blame it on David Snowball.
P.S.: Prof Damodaran discloses his stock investments and trades.
VG reps are worse than government customer service and I do not talk to them if I do not have an existing problem I need to solve. I made many suggestions to them to improve their service and when I figured out who they are, I moved my accounts (it…
ET is a good investment, with its CEO buying it shares hand over fist. My not buying this was one of my mental lapses, aided by the mental friction of K-1s. Currently, all my mid-stream is through PDX, a CEF - already ran up and not my recommendat…
David, NYT articles are behind paywall for me. If you are able to, pl include / share your short summary.
I’ll try and get a gift share. Meanwhile, if you can afford to invest, get a damn subscription to the nytimes. It’s 2025 and the country is…
@Sven, the next episode (2) is already out. Someone shared it last week on a different thread - you can search for it or find it at WealthTrack.
@WABAC posted last week briefly about the bond sleeve on a different thread. If you have access t…
Thanks, Rick.
Specialist thanks to Joe for his listing and short summaries which helped me get caught up.
I sold XLE (from trading account) on Friday in anticipation of today’s order. Oil services investment may be better instead. I also cha…
FYI - I turned notifications off and hope to catch up on this thread soon.
Hopefully all posters are treating each other with respect and are considerate and appreciative of others’ time and effort. Thanks.
Giroux said this month that the market is most overpriced than at anytime in his career and PRWCX is the most defensively positioned. I may have paraphrased but you can hear it from the horse’s mouth in the WealthTrack thread. To me that both Howa…
The purpose of the thread is stated in the OP.
I know the following is where I normally start. Are the executive orders available anywhere else sooner?
https://www.federalregister.gov/presidential-documents/executive-orders
I am perfectly fine if no one posts in this thread and it dies before it starts but I absolutely prefer no political discussion from posters in this thread. I am not looking for discussion from posters but you are free to discuss if that helps you …
@FD1000, why is that you invest only (or primarily) in bond OEFs and not in bond ETFs, which presumably will give you a better opportunity to buy low and sell high than OEFs would?
@stillers problem I think is what YBB described. Go enjoy your weekend and get on the phone with Vanguard first thing on Tuesday. Hopefully, by the end of the week you enjoy the service elsewhere.
Doctors always have after hour emergency number to call.
If you are moving out a taxable account, I would make multiple partial account transfers to make sure cost basis gets transferred right. Leave a few dollars in the account until you are rea…
Thanks, @WABAC. 3 is more than I was expecting but that is what M* says. He has 50% or more in 3-5 yr range. He has more than 30% or more below BB and about 43% in AA. I mention the credit rating only for edification and not to worry about anyt…
