Very interesting @Benwp. Thanks for sharing this. Ive been following MOAT ever since you recommended it awhile back. Ive been researching more cyclical fund options and will take a look at this one. Bought FIDU a month ago.
My favorite fund is MIOPX which is managed by Kristen Heugh. This is a strong international fund with broad exposure to Europe as well as emerging markets. Ben suggested their global fund which is also excellent. If you run the numbers you'll see…
Excellent news. Thanks @Dennis Baran. I bought this back in March and its been taking on alot of assets in last couple of months. Very strong consistent performer.
Thanks very much for posting this @Mark. I closely follow 2 funds on the list.... PRDGX and VDIGX. I find dividend growth to be a good strategy. FD why not tone down the rhetoric. Not helpful
HI Hank. Well this was pure political theatre and will be challenged in the courts. He doesnt have the authority to cut taxes or continue unemployment payments. Thats Congress's purview. Even if he did it still represents a cut in unemployment…
Thanks very much @Mark for sharing this. A very good read. He's an excellent writer. His closing reminds me of Tevye from Fiddler on the Roof.... "on the one hand." I dont think this one is really actionable but a very thoughtful analysis
Hey @Old_Skeet. thanks very much updating us. Do you ever take a look at international stocks in your barometer? Its going to be really interesting to watch Europe and Asia as their economies are rebounding and getting back to work much quicker t…
I swapped out ARTJX and entered into MIOPX back in April. So far, this has been a good move as MIOPX has strong exposure to China and emerging Asia and has performed well.
Thanks for heads up @TheShadow. Looking on Morningstar it says that International opportunities is limited which typically means closed. Does anyone know if this is not the case? Its a top performing intl fund
@hank if you run the numbers on MFO premium there are 2 funds that consistently outperform other intl funds over the 3, 5 and 7 year timeframes... those are MFAPX and MIOPX. Both are managed by Kristen Heugh. He also has a pure Asian fund but its …
Thanks for sharing this @Junkster. I always have enjoyed reading your timely posts. Any thoughts to share on what parts of the market you find interesting right now?
Thanks @Old_Skeet. Based on sectors analysis on the 50 day just about every sector is overbought. Im most interested right now on if the rally in financials and cyclicals continues. I bought JPM and IYG about 2 weeks ago. JPM is up about 12%
I purchased WAMCX, APGAX, and QQQ over the past 2 weeks. WAMCX is a great small cap growth fund with a focus on the tech and health care sectors. Consistently a top 1-5% performer among small caps.. APGAX is large cap growth and held up extremely…
My personal favorite is WAMCX. Great and consistent long term performance and a good manager who’s been at the helm for 8 years. Thanks for the suggestion of JSCVX @LewisBraham. Looks interesting. It has held up well previously in down markets.…
This sounds Promising but the report is only anecdotal at this point. We need to see the full results from the clinical trials that are ongoing. This is information from one site in Chicago and there are 152 clinical trial sites around the world f…
@Old_Skeet. Thanks for much for sharing information on short squeeze. I have to say that I am surprised by the continuing rally despite all the bad news. Based on everything Im hearing and reading, its going to take longer for the economy to reop…
@Charles. Thanks so much for posting this data! Really appeeciate it. Can you please note the search criteria you used for "what worked" for the month?
@old_skeet yes I was doing some research on that one. Thsnks for the heads up. It almost acts like a long/short fund with its flexible mandate. Do you count this as an equity fund for allocation purposes?
Yes as you know I greatly appreciate your posts and you sharing your strategy. So Im assuming youre taking your equity position down a bit here with this rally. Are you creating a spif? I'm currently at about 50% equities now and dollar cost avera…
HI @Old_Skeet.... I think its real guesswork at this point to project what the earnings number will be for S&P....Noone knows when the country will reopen again
