  • Just enough scoring by Dodgers to make the game watchable. Dodger pitcher,"MOTO", threw one heck of a game! A+ Blue Jay pitcher gave up A pair of HR's to open the game up in 6/th or 7/th inning.

Starting 16th inning. They are allergic to scoring. ... Almost 11:00 p.m. in L.A. and 2:00 a.m. in the East.
.................Freddy Freeman solo HR wins it for the Dodgers in the 18th. Yaba daba doo.

Missed ball 4 call tainted the game. Shit happens! What should have been ball 4 was called a very late strike & caused runner on first to be tagged out.
ADDED Ohtani was a Jay killer!! Manager challenged him one to many times!

Glad I didn’t stay up for the end. That was a weird looking pickoff play for sure. Never seen or heard the likes of it. ISTM the ultimate responsibility is with the base runner, late call or not. Often a batter will toss the bat and begin walking to first if he thinks the last pitch was ball 4. in an attempt to influence the ump and crowd. I never understood why that is allowed, but it’s part of the game. Looks like in this case, the batter unfortunately influenced the base runner by starting to trot to first before hearing the call.

Something I detest is when a batter, thinking he just hit a HR, stands at the plate and stares at the ball instead of running hard. Just doesn’t look good. And it did recently cause what should have been a triple to be only a single in one of the recent playoff games as the ball missed being a homer by inches and bounced back onto field. They didn’t pull that kind of s*** back in the days of Harwell. Doubt he would have approved.
  • @hank I believe you're referring to a Brewer game, catcher turned that into a double play. Bases loaded , one out with tag at home plate. Then catcher trotted to third base for a force out ! One for the ages!

Last nights "late" call will only hasten the challenge rule to be implemented. That Pitch was a ball. To error is human.

It seems to me NBA has already started using the ref challenge call at some point in the game, usually at crunch time.
  • Game 3, 18 innings. Wow.

6-2 in Game 4. Jays win. Dodgers could not find the gas peddle. Ohtani hit a homer, but his pitching gave the game to the Birds.

How 'bout Kershaw in the clutch in Game 3 with bases loaded, eh?
  • Better game last night! Why, only 9 inning affair.
  • I'm headed to my fav. Irish pub this afternoon to watch, starting at 2:00 p.m. in Hawaii. Then, Thurs. is a travel day.

Fun fact, yes! These days, I (almost) envy him. And today at Chavez Ravine, the Dodgers could not manage to find the handle. Jays pitcher was on fire, no stopping him. Snell gave up home runs on each of the first 2 pitches, then settled down. But 1 run was all the Dodgers could come up with. 6-1 final. Stinky poopy. But the jalapeno poppers were almost worth it.
  • OK! We do have a Game 7 coming tomorrow, after all. Dodgers won today in Toronto, 3-1. Wahoo-bonga!
  • Timely hitting by Dodgers put Jays down although they out hit the Dodgers.

And Ohtani will pitch in Game 7, and serve as DH, surely. He's been under-performing. Worries me, with today's final game in mind.

Should be a hell of a game. I’d say a coin flip, though LA is favored by the odds makers as they have been in every game (as I recall). Probably won’t bet on this one.

I hang out in the area near Rogers Stadium on occasional visits to Toronto. Yet to go inside. Stadium is in a very nice area. Very nice city too. Great people.

    100%.

NOVEMBER baseball!!! 0 outs bottom 2nd and 2 on. Pull Ohtani? Today, it's for all the marbles! .... Bottom 3rd, Ohtani WP. Crap. Continues to be shaky. Crud. ...And now a 3-run HR. Crappy Stinky Poopy. ...P Wrobleski is in. First batter he faced got a hit. Barger. ...Finally, the 2nd out. (Kirk.) Varsho K is 3rd out. Should have pulled Ohtani when I suggested it. ...Dodgers score just 1 in the 4th, after a substantial threat. NOT capitalizing on opportunities. BETTS' bat is like a tower of celery-flavored Jello.

ORK! Cannot get G. Springer OUT! (3-3, Run Scored.)
  • @hank Bo just took a picture from home plate after 3 run homer!! More game to play.

2 incredible fielding plays by the Jays in the 4th. LA could have blown the game open. If I tried either of those catches I’d ne in the hospital! I put a few cents on LA when they were down. So hoping for a comeback.

LOL Just a brush back pitch that got in a little too close. Blue Jays way overreacted!

...Jays pull Scherzer! Top 5th. ...But L.A. cannot crack that egg! ...Top 6th. Surprise: Mookie is not OUT. He walked. Dodgers get 1, but blew the opportunity, again.

...Top 8th. Mookie is out. I'm SHOCKED! (Not really.) Muncy homers off Yesavage. Way to go! Deficit is down to just ONE RUN, now. 1 out. Quick 2nd out: T. Hernandez. Dooky and scum.
  • Very nice job by the ground crew!

Top 9th. One word: ROJAS. single HR.

Yamamoto pitched out of the jam. 10th, now. This is why i love baseball.

Dodgers 4-4 Blue Jays, top of ninth inning!

Now Dodgers 4-4 Blue Jays, middle of ninth inning... Toronto's turn...

Yamamoto is into the game in relief, hits Kirk with his second pitch! Bases loaded with with one out!

Extra innings in Game 7 of the World Series!

Dodgers: bases loaded with one out in the top of the 10th,,,

    two down...

and on to the bottom of the 10th.

Yamamoto comes out to pitch the 10th... two down...

And now we’re headed to the 11th!

That was quick.. two down for the Dodgers.

Over the left-field wall for a home run that gives the Dodgers a 5-4 lead with two outs!

The Dodgers are now only three outs away from a repeat World Series title.

Now a man on second with nobody out for the Jays as the crowd goes ballistic.

Final: Dodgers 5-4 Blue Jays (11 innings)

    Man. Just an amazing finish.

  • Bottom of 10/th - 7/th game of World series, & tv pop up wants to know if I'm still watching.
I've got the clocks turned back, so play ball!
  • Game-ending DP, just when L.A. needed it! I love baseball. DODGERS WIN!
  • That was just what a Game 7 between two great teams should be. Instant classic.
