Well, its Friday afternoon, so....which govt office will Orange get to strong-arm tonight? Friday night Massacres are his specialty. Helps avoid the main news cycle.
This is now acceptable in 2025. Totally constitutional, above-board behavior.
Musk probably throws on some make-up and dresses up as The Joker. Dances into the FBI and starts firing people.
I guess that Hondo doesn't know that Congress authorized the CFPB to try and prevent a repeat of the abuses which caused the 2008 financial disaster. It's pretty obvious that Trump and Musk don't really care about a repeat of 2008.
I remember a lib comedian holding up what looked like President Trump's severed head. I remember a play in Central Park paid with public funding, showing the killing of President Trump.
Those incidents, if they really occurred, were stupid and inappropriate. However, MAGAts are much worse, committing actual violence like the assaults on Capitol police on January 6, 2021; the attempted kidnapping and possibly murder of the governor of Michigan; and the hammer attack at the Pelosi home.
Then note that the former "party of law and order" said nothing about Dump's pardoning the violent Jan. 6 criminals who were legally tried, convicted, and imprisoned. Listen to any of Michael Fallone's interviews and tell me those violent a******s didn't deserve to spend the rest of the lives in a dungeon.

Yes, I agree, the Jan 6 thing was bad, and I wish it had not happened, however it was actually not as bad as the riots, looting, burning down of buildings and murders that happened in a major city. Oh, don't forget the assaults on police officers. They took over a police station and didn't they declare a section of the city as their own country? As I remember, some big name Dems posted bail for the arrested so they could go out and do more damage. Do you remember the retired police officer, who happened to be a black man, who was murdered in cold blood for trying to protect his friend's property?
Pardons: Biden pardoned his son after saying many, many times that he would not, however I would have done the same if my son was a criminal and I could pardon him. He also pardoned his whole family even thou they had not been arrested. He must know that they committed crimes. It was reported that he pardoned many criminals that were in jail and had them released.
There goes VI-2, with the right wing's (and the media's) FALSE EQUIVALENCE disease. Fox and OAN made up stories about the Floyd murder protests right and left. Minneapolis and Portland were almost entirely peaceful protests with some deadbeat looters who were not protestors. Portland had a part of a street downtown that became a de facto protest zone, complete with art and music. It was peacefully disbanded and everyone went home unscathed. Somebody lit a fire, like a campfire, next to a cop station, which caused no damage to the building.
Jan. 6 was a violent insurrection; not even in the same universe.
+1 @gman57 about the Biden pardons. I can't speak for every single one, but again, false equivalence.
Over on the Big Bang forum there is a cadre of folks who "... fail to grasp the controversy about Elon Musk" (their own words), have no concept of false equivalence, and insist Trump is honest because he is keeping his campaign promises. If you want to get riled up, experience severe indigestion, or simply want to try to sway a very entrenched mindset, go ahead and pay that site a visit.

I couldn't, if I wanted to. The Changster banned me. I was a Stranger In A Strange Land over there. Really deluded politics.
@howaya: No thanks. I can experience that entrenched mindset anytime I want to by heading over to a certain household of the extended family, where I'd be treated to Fox blaring every second they're awake and a litany of the latest conspiracy theories.
I'd excuse you if you had even the slightest clue what went on in my home town but the outrage and blowup here was a long time coming. A systemic and racist police department kneeling on the collective necks of a portion of our population lit a fuse they could not extinguish with threats, beatings and brutality beyond measure. It took an uprising to get them examined and gutted to the core. Swing by sometime and I will show you and tell you all about it from ground zero because I was there. Until then you are just spouting a flood of nonsense from Mount Ignorance.

@howaya, I am following AndyJ with a no thanks. I had enough of chang in his short time here and BS1000, well, I will refrain from commenting (so long as he stays away).
Chang (and BS1000) feel the need to stop by and spread their fertilizer every now and then, but most of us have no desire to stick our noses into their swampy stinkhole of a website.
Orange cheetos surrounds all their pie-holes. But that's their problem.

My understanding is that chang has been banned from MFO. That leaves BS on his own.

As I remember it was not only looters but buildings burning, cars & buses burning, shootings and whatever. I don't see how you can separate the looters from the protesters. One in the same in most cases. I agree, there could have some people who only protested.
The Jan. 6 protestors could make the same claim that you make, that it was a simple protest until some deadbeats attacked the building. I don't agree with what they did,but certainly not all were involved in the break in. And there was relatively little damage as compared to the Minn. and Portland events. No burning of building. As I remember, there was only weapon fired and wasn't it fired by a poiliceman or government agent? I know you will correct me if I am wrong. There were some police attacked by the deadbeats, which was very wront, but not by the others who were there to protest peaceful.
Looks like "False Equivalence" are the key words today for DCP talking points.
LOL. "DCP."
The Repugnant Party are the ones morphing the country into a Soviet-like oligarchy, hollowing-out the middle-class. From another perspective, we are fast on the way to Banana Republic status. Tax cuts for the richest, and screw the rest of you. That's what "shit-hole" countries look like: the elites live in comfort and luxury. Everyone else struggles. Not many can buy a home these days. Not many can even afford rent on an apartment of their own. .....The current "Administration" just ignores court rulings it does not like and is turning the entire gov't upside-down. Screw people, we want our "efficiency." Efficiency which ignores people and their needs is subversive, destructive. But this should come as no surprise. The Repugnants have been elitist money grubbers worshiping at the altar of Mammon for a very long time.
