Should U.S. buy, seize, conquer, occupy or annex Greenland, Panama, Canada, Mexico or other nation?
He's got it all backwards. First, you try to steamroll China, the biggest bully on the block. Then the rest are yours for the taking.
Imperial America! Woo-hoo!
We can't manage our own health-care system or our gun problems, but our not-so-grand leader wants to take over other lands. His pal Putin gave him some great ideas.
Panama might want to sell the canal to the U.S. to hand somebody else the problem. The zone is drying out and the system has lost enough water that the number of transits is down by something like 35% (from an average of 38 a day to 24).
And Canada: they aren't doing anything about the illegal border-crossing beavers invading our rivers.
My bent mind sees the prospect of annexing Greenland and Canada as a very clever way of locking the exit doors from the now-intolerable US of A. Moving to a sovereign Canada or a Danish-controlled Greenland or even to a Central American paradise, places to which right-thinking Americans might turn in a time of despair, could be thwarted because those safe havens will be nothing but extensions of the US. I don’t want to move to Moosinee any more than you do, but if Trumpists were running the place I’d run in another direction. Come to think of it, Panama City, for all its sweltering charms, would be intolerable if Newt Gingrich were the Trump-appointed Governor. Yikes! There’s no place go! Greenland? Gimme a break!
Viable 3rd Party? Nope. The Dems and Reps have made sure to lock things up tight, between them. Even though the Reps have ceased to be a Party. They have morphed into a subversive organization. Been that way since Ronny Ray-guns and Gingrich the Newt.
This is the lead-in to a longer WSJ article today (online edition). So crazy I haven’t dug beneath the surface. But it does mention one of his sons is in Greenland laying some kind of groundwork.

I'm curios as to how he expects to annex Canada as the 51st state. Will all these takeovers happen before or after he deports the illegals, secures the border, fixes(?) the economy and brings down inflation and grocery prices? Oops, he already admitted he can't bring down grocery prices. Something tells me the rubes won't remember that and/or care.
Teddy Roosevelt said, "Speak softly and carry a big stick" & his actions were very manipulative in Lat Am. The opposite may be talking it out loud? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_stick_ideology
I agree with @Mark’s assessment , « Something tells me the rubes won't remember that and/or care.« All this bluster about empire-building could be a diversionary tactic. Not only the supposed supporters won’t care, but the attention of the people who do care and who might mount an effective opposition will diverted from that goal while DT is lining his pockets and those of his cronies who are sneaking in the back doors. It is hard enough for the opposition to keep track of the some 4000 appointments an incoming administration has to make, but having to mount a defense against someone who may be tilting at windmills, or playing Napoleon, or emulating Putin, or auditioning for a role in a remake of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, or what have you, is a challenge.
After the price of imported food gets tarriffed and the cost of agriculture labor goes up and the price and availabilty of repair parts for farm equipment gets unaffordable, food prices will definitely go down. It doesn't take a genius to see that, does it? Just call me "Duh girl".
Who cares as long as Trump Twin Towers go up in Mexico City, Nuuk, Ottawa, and Panama City (not to mention Moscow, Pyongyang, and Peking)? What a win for America! Making America Great Again! Food prices would, well, plummet to nothing, expecially if golf courses were sprinkled around.
I’m getting a sense he would like to team up with buddy Putin (secretly of course) and divide up as much of the world as possible between the two powers. Ukraine would go to Putin. Possibly he sees this as a way to stave off China’s growing power and influence.
You don’t have to be crazy to think this way, but it helps.
Somehow I think these new land acquisition is nothing more than diversion tactics. Many of the candidates who are poorly qualified for the position. in the confirmation. Only several active government officials including Rubio have been confirmed. It is highly unlikely he will majority of key positions confirmed by January 20th.

Canada for sure - it keeps sending those Alberta Clippers to the Midwest in Winter. This has gone on long enough.
And Canada: they aren't doing anything about the illegal border-crossing beavers invading our rivers.
Fair enough- we can pay for a canal of questionable value with inflated US currency of questionable value.

But no, this may well just be payback.

No joke. At every turn, more and more absurdity faces us. Will we ever get back to normal? The majority of voters are ...... dolts.
