New Morningstar Site in Late-August

  • @dpf749, you make good points.

    The concerns have been:

    1. Status of the M* Legacy Portfolio and it's good that it's continuing.

    2. Status of free/basic subscribers who had access to M* Legacy Portfolio until yesterday. And that has now been verified by posters here and elsewhere that they still have access to Legacy Portfolio today.

    3. Status of M* Discussions - it's nowhere on the new M* Home, but does continue as a separate site hosted by Salesforce under the M* label.

So, the new M* website rollout was fine and there were no problems as were feared just a few days ago.

Regarding the current status of M* Discussions, I say good riddance. Until a few years ago it was a terrific site, but its now become the primary domain of a single poster.

More or less totally useless to serious investors, unfortunately. Excepting, of course, yogi's contributions.
  • As best I can tell the new form will not show % allocations of watch lists, only a portfolio. Consequently I will have to migrate all my existing monitoring over to portfolios rather than watch lists if they stop allowing "legacy" view

It does not appear that "Investor" will allow you to import a portfolio from an excel file either. Unless they add this function, Investor will be almost useless to me
