Glad to have bonds today in my portfolio. They served nicely as a ballast; the investment grade and treasury bonds went up and floating rate funds stayed flat. Will dollar-cost-average in the rest in coming months given the market is volatile such as today. When US enters a recession, I want to hold a healthy % of bond. Perhaps buying long duration bonds that will be benefit from rate cut at that point.
