An updated brief from the Kaiser Family Foundation explains today’s new regulations from the Trump Administration that greatly expand the types of employers that may be granted an exemption from the Affordable Care Act’s contraceptive coverage rule.

@davidrmoran So depressing. Private for-profit insurers have an inherent conflict of interest. They want to collect as many premiums from healthy people as possible while denying as many sick people coverage as possible. That is a sure way to maximize profits and in essence is their fiduciary duty to their shareholders--to deny sick people coverage whenever legally possible to maximize profits. Is it any wonder then Wellmark stayed off the exchanges as long as possible? It's a monopoly with a pool of mostly healthy customers. And then this fundamental sabotage of the ACA by Trump and the GOP makes things ten times worse. The Beastie Boys "Sabotage" just keeps playing over and over in my head.
