All described here. I also hope to have an expanded piece in the November commentary.
Took a couple days longer than planned. Made mistake of trying to add a couple "Super Bull" market evaluation periods, which messed-up release schedule. Curiosity got better of me. It was prompted by M* CEO Kunal Kapoor describing current bull marke…

Just went live with new Ferguson and Trend analysis pages in MultiSearch. Both offer ability now to export to a formatted Excel spreadsheet. Thanks to Allan Jardine of SpryMedia, associate Paul Jones, and GitHub. Will be expanding that option to oth…

Hi again Mav123. There are several ways, actually.
You can set the Display period to one of 74 different periods, including lifetime, YTD, multi-year and multi-month, plus full, bear, bull and other unique market cycles. For "recent," you decide ..…
You're welcome MikeW!
Just posted description of this month's updates here.
It includes Brad's latest addition to Ferguson Metrics. It's called Mega Ratio, which he describes as a consistency, risk and expense outperformance measure, similar to ot…
And, MultiSearch now has ability to screen funds by 3, 6, 9, and 12 month "momentum" (@MikeW) ... both values and ratings. This new feature is also in the Trend & Momentum group of MultiSearch screening options.
MultiSearch now has ability to screen Trend using EMAs (exponential moving averages), which places more emphasis on more recent month(s) than the SMAs (simple moving averages). With those familiar (@Mav123), it uses the common 2/(N+1) weighted multi…
A new feature that enables MultiSearch users to screen for funds based on its Benchmark went live today. Use the pulldown menu for Benchmark on the MultiSearch page in More Basic Info group. Can select up to five benchmarks.
About to go live with feature that enables you to run Preferences from the MultiSearch results table page via View/Preferences. Then, will get to work on EMA, adding individual years to Ferguson analysis page, searches by benchmark, and other things!
@Mav123. Monthly. Lipper drops month ending data first Saturday of month. So, sometimes it's on 1st, other times (like this week) it's on 7th. July update crunching now. Will be posted tonight or Sunday morning (typical). There are mid month upgrade…
@sma3. Here is Lipper's response to your suggestion re brokerage availability:
"We appreciate your feedback. Rest assured that I will notify our product team."
Fingers-crossed!
@Mav123. I like the Exponential Moving Average (EMA) idea. Will add to list. Should not take too long. If you are a subscriber (or become one) I'll add a month to your subscription for the suggestion. Our custom for good feedback!
Thank you! My pleasure. Glad it helped.
Yes, GO is short for Great Owl. The Definitions page does a pretty good job of, well, definitions, and acronyms.
