Yes, thanks. BTW Morningstar liquidated there ETF Newletter portfolios, including PDI and PCI. They will have 4 paper portfolios starting next month in their ETF Newletter
OBOR is the ETF for this.

I see. I was going to exchange my VG Global Min Vol to a MF share if it existed. I don't have enough moolah to qual for the Admiral share class so I may sell some or all of the MinVol to buy the ETF. I realize that VFMF will have no foreign exposu…
The Multifactor mutual fund is available as an Admiral share mutual fund and ETF. Thanks jojo. @jojo26 do you know if there is a ticker for the investor share class mutual fund?
Nevermind, I just found the expenses etc. I just threw up in my mouth. It makes AQR funds and PCI/PDI look like a bargain.

I was more interested in the Stone Ridge Alternative Lending Risk Premium Fund (LENDX)); Stone Ridge Reinsurance Risk Premium Interval Fund (SRRIX)); the variance risk premium Stone Ridge All Asset Variance Risk Premium Fund (AVRPX). THey are prob…
**But Yale’s allocation to U.S. stocks is simply too low. And Swensen may need to acknowledge that the passive strategies he derides have stacked up well against endowments in the past 10 years.**
In Dr. Swenson's book he lays out a passive portfol…
LB, you are right but most of the multi-factor funds combine 3 or more factors so I was interested to see the value/momentum combo. The article does note two value/momentum etfs. Thanks.
I didn't think this would be interesting... but it is. Value and Momentum are usually not correlated (from the literature I have read) and now it is available in one ETF in different marketcaps.
OK. The 64K question for me is how much of this fund or Long/Short funds should be in an average Joe Tentpeg investor's Asset Allocation. 5-10-20%? What is a meaningful amount that will meaningfully dampen volatility and maybe contribute to the port…
Great episode. Anyone else selling PCI/PDI? I am waiting for PCI to hit a premium, which it is close to doing. Anyone else going to sell then? In dribs and drabs or one/two big liquidations?
I own VG Cap Opp, VHCOX, which has been doing great. Used ytd profits to buy some VMVFX. I wanted to add some foreign exposure and I like low vol. Low vol should do worse when the market is frothy. I read an old M* article that said low vol funds sh…
Sven is right. Sorry for any misunderstanding. I am not an experienced trader but I would never buy a CEF at a premium to NAV. PIMCO even warned about the steep premium that one of the CEFs was trading at. PHY maybe, but the warning was on the PIMCO…
@sven, check your PM. It was actually a private note. He had written extensively on PCI/PDI during his tenure as editor at the Morningstar ETF newletter.
@Sven, I got into PCI/PDI after reading Sam Lee's work at the Morningstar's ETF newsletter. On his blog Sam once noted PIMIX was PIMCO's best fund. That is when I added PIMIX/PONDX to my Mom's account. A little PCI for Mom as well since is was at …
Fellas, REALLY, thanks a lot. I appreciate the thoughts. Hope you are all having a GREAT summer.
BTW besides having PCI/PIMIX/PONDX I have my Mom in DODIX and a couple short term bond funds. In my mental book keeping the Ivacysyn funds occupy a gra…
