Good posts. In the history of AI did we ever have the current level of widespread consumer (and as such private companies’s) participation? If not, the current enthusiasm is unique. May be the current popularity has to do with the consumer dire…
Not to digress but I would put Sector or Industry bets in IRA (rather than taxable) as sectors go in and out of favor and also one may have, as Stillers does, a max limit on sector bets, requiring trimming. Broad based ETFs such as QQQ, SPY, and ev…
Thanks Stillers.
Your NVDA trade is already making money for you!
SMCI is down only 4% as I write but a lot of NEAGX holdings are down today as much or more. So, today could be a good day to add if one is playing for a big 2024 gain for SCG.
Entered order today for next-to-last sliver of NEAGX per the same reasons as last BUY.
Good trade on GOOG. I hope it works out with NVDA as well.
Just curious, Do you mind sharing what %age of your portfolio you anticipate is your NEAGX positio…
Closed end means no involuntary outflows to shareholders, except required distributions. This is an AUM lock which is not possible with an ETF.
From the article in the OP, i am not able to tell how this fund is materially from his existing fund, …
@BaluBalu
See my link on this thread from Feb 3rd on page 8 for historical returns for Marshfield equity composite vs SP500

Thanks. That link just spools and does not load on my iPad.
@WABAC MRFOX has limited brokerage availability in order to control inflows. When it only existed as a separate account, $$$ flowed in heavily when the market turned down.
Do you or any one here have access to the strategy returns by year (relative…
MRFOX strategy appears to be around for 20 years, based on this letter -

Initiated new position in BIZD and ETRN in my income (and some growth) portfolio.
Shifted some stuff around to consolidate positions a bit as well, but nothing major.
Ron,
ETRN is an interesting midstream co. M* FV is about 50% above current pric…
I think SAI is a trade name (owned by Fidelity). Not sure SEC could have prevented Fidelity from using in the SAI series.
Agree that now it forces us to read both prospectus and SAI - at least look at the table of contents.
Fidelity has a factor quality etf, FQAL but unfortunately it does not perform nearly as well as FUQIX.
FYI - FUQIX, "This fund is only available to clients enrolled in Fidelity® Wealth Services."
If anyone here subscribes to these Services, please…
I'll admit I own it in my taxable. And I have had good, and bad, investing experiences. :)
What brought it to your attention?
Please share what the bad experience was from owning SPGP
More portfolio information is now available. 92% in equity and top 7 are Mag 7 as of 12/31/2023.

M* shows no (zero) inflows in December.
My recent superior experience dealing with USPS vs FedEx & UPS caused me to read posts about PSTL. Customer service comments about UPS are horrifying; I read to see if my experience is an outlier. UPS stock is doing alright relative to its ser…
@MikeM and @Mark: I'm an adherent of the CG ETFs, also. CGGR, CGGO, and CGDV in three different family accounts. I never owned American MFs, probably because of loads, altho I do have access to Washington Mutual in my retirement account. Capital Gro…
Is it reasonable to call PVCMX a tactical allocation fund, rather than an equity fund?
I have liked HFSAX in the tactical allocation category for a while. I spoke with the fund personnel a few years ago but never got around to pulling the trigger …
Alaska said they found many loose bolts as they inspected their fleet. I think United also said the same. So, the plane designs are not issue but a process failure? If so, it is a culture issue at BA and should not that apply to all their planes?…
I was not questioning the truthfulness of the information on FSIXX. I have an active Merrill account. Neither do Fidelity policies bother me.
I forgot and thanks for the reminder that Fidelity Institutional MM funds show the minimum required in a…
dividends are 99.9% tax exempt in my state
@Fred495, if I am correct, treasury bonds/ ETFs are federal tax-exempt, not state exempt. TFLO invests in floating rate treasury similar to that of USFR, WisdomTree treasury floating rate ETF.

For accounts at Fidelity,
FSIXX has a minimum of $1M. FRSXX is the Institutional class of the Treasury Only MM fund and pays slightly higher than FSIXX. FRSXX does not seem to say what the minimum required is but I presume it is not accessible t…
Hi @hank, There are several posts in this forum comparing RSIIX and OSTIX, including posts by RSIIX manager himself. I simply wanted to know what caused RSIIX not to be able to protect investors during March 2020 as well as OSTIX did. The differen…
FD, Unless you are getting paid by RSIIX or otherwise chose to do their bidding, why are you trying to bury my question by replying with an obvious?
There is no reason to think or assume that posters here asking questions or raising issues are in…

RSIIX was +0.15% yesterday if my quote services are correct.
I never got an answer for my perhaps impolite question asking why RSIIX was not able to protect investors better during March 2020. Not that I am anticipating another pandemic but I alw…
