Hi @Old_Joe,
I know what is going on in this forum and in this thread. I did not read FD's posts in this thread but reading the very short Mona reply gave me the hint the direction the thread is taking.
I read all your posts. I do not read more…
I could be imagining but I thought the new holdings are available to us after 60 days (30 for the fund + 30 after for the SEC) of month end. If so, that is pretty useless information. I would want the info to be made available within 15 days after…
Despite the recent flood of criticism, I've been using 2 covered call funds for a number of years and feel they serve their function quite well within my portfolio. I do prefer funds which write calls to a nominal portion of the portfolio. DIVO (a …
Using Fido’s mark down price or other latest equity info, I would be interested to know the current D/E of X or its holding company. D being the money various banks lent to acquire twitter.
Is this discrepancy only for ET or a result of Schwab reinvests dividends such that it effects all trading widgets enrolled in div reinvestment? Is it a systems and process issue?
I never paid attention to Schwab before but after migration from TD…
@msf, HSFAX? Typo?

I am a bit surprised how little the three managers of ACIO own in the fund. This is not a big fund family and so I was looking for Manager commitment. I shall let others unpack this fund.

One view. SPY vs FBALX
I would think bond funds and even VWINX may have done better than moderate allocation funds like FBALX. But for apples to apples, I was looking for blend funds.
Talking about 2000-2002 bear market and GFC, from Jan 2000 through December 2011, S&P 500 returned nearly 0. Which blend funds fared significantly better during that 12 year period?
Hating the cyber criminals is not going to do us mortals any good. Many times there are state actors involved and I am pretty sure the US government returns the favor in kind. But when the victim is a credit union and its members, the US governmen…
Did they debit the sweep account which pays next to nothing interest?
Otherwise, you have to remember to sell your MM fund to match the settlement. If you forget or fail to do that, you will be charged margin interest.
I stopped buying Treasuri…
I thought there are websites that give you odds to wager. (I used to check a site for this information four years ago.) After the market close each day someone can post the change in closing price and change in odds to wager to see if there is any…
M* AUM for GMO EM ex-China is for all classes - GMAVX, GMAUX, GMAQX.
Yogi,
It is not important and so please do not spend any time on this, but if you are curious compare these two fact sheets which might explain.

Most soft pulls are allowed for frozen-credit a/c, but if the institution decides on a hard pull for some reason, it will fail.
Bank of America is like a government organization. Their employees are not trained well or to think. I spoke with the b…
Their leader has been touting emerging markets for as long as I have known about GMO.
From a cursory look at their site,
They have an EM ex-China mutual fund with 81M in AUM (7/31) (about 3 year old). Is the ETF expected to be a clone of this …
Beyond China ETF -
"The Fund is an actively managed ETF that seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing in equities of companies tied economically to markets that are not treated as developed markets in the MSCI World Index, with the ex…
I always traded number of shares and not dollars for stocks and ETPs. Fidelity allows one to trade in dollars. I was surprised to find that Schwab website trade ticket does not have that feature. Just an FYI.
I think looking at the positioning of a Total Return bond fund gives one the indication of that bond house thoughts about the direction of interest rates, assuming they do not tie themselves too hard to the AGG.
Watch a movie like Network. It's clunky to watch these days, but yeah, people were "mad as hell" about a lot of things, including inflation.
Growing up through that era is the main reason I'm not convinced we're out of the woods yet.
Thanks. …
Given it is just a paper company at this time, this really is just a bet on whether DJT wins the election. Let us see if the faithful have Diamond hands when the insider sales start.
If I own a stock and sell puts, I might lighten up on my long underlying position to make sure I am not over long. When I close the put position, I simultaneously buy the underlying to get back to my original position.
Re current market conditions and derivatives,
I think 2 weeks ago a lot of people bought puts in a panic and now may be unwinding those puts. Could the current relentless rise in stocks be a function of those unwinds similar to a short squeeze?
HELO is meant to be a replication of all those three mutual funds. HELO is new and so may not have enough data to back test. I own it but I recognize that there is a potential cost of underperformance in the long run in a buy and forget strategy. …
His TCAF and PRWCX follow the same mantra of "you win more by losing less." I do not own TCAF but I watched it enough to know its behavior. I did not buy TCAF as it is not differentiated enough from PRWCX equity. But TCAF being small and new mone…
Is there a difference between organic chicken and regular chicken in California. I figure different states may have different rules and so I mentioned CA, not that everything sold in CA is made or grown in CA.
