+1 hank Currently, I'm averaging down on my ASML purchase at Fidelity. Fortunately, Fido allows purchase of fractional shares, so my total investment is only at $2,000 now, or about 2-3 shares !
Just made a Roth conversion at Fidelity yesterday in 5 minutes-wouldn't have the patience to process the transaction at Vanguard. If I knew E-Trade would continue to sell Vanguard funds ntf, I would transfer my Vanguard account ASAP !
+1 hank Setting up a Fidelity brokerage account is the best way to go, in my opinion. You can access TRP funds plus buy Fidelity funds with no minimum required !
PRWCX CTFAX as buy and hold ESGV JEPI SCHD DSTL to buy/sell as needed RPHYX for paltry income, VARAX BAMBX CVSIX HMEAX ADANX ARBOX at Fido/Schwab. My Vanguard funds are all buy and holds. I have no problem holding numerous funds, since the alternat…
I've been using AOR which has a 60/40 stock/bond allocation. I would be perfectly happy with an etf version of a balanced fund, but so far I haven't found one !
Followers of Dave Ramsey would be disappointed with 5%. He tells listeners to "invest in good growth stock mutual funds" returning 12% a year. But you can't pick these funds yourself, because he thinks listeners should use ELP's to manage their mone…
I used to own JHQAX earlier in the year, but I sold and took profits. I'm replacing oefs with etfs and use JEPI on a regular basis. I want the freedom to sell anytime without incurring short term redemption fees.
Investopedia has articles comparing etfs and etns ETNS are unsecured debt notes issued by an institution and are subject to the credit rating of the underwriter. I admit I don't really understand etns, which is why I stick to etfs , oefs and individ…
I'm at the point where I use my Vanguard brokerage account to hold Vanguard Funds, and little else. The trading interface requires too many steps to buy and sell etf's. If Schwab would magically offer to sell Vanguard Funds ntf, I'd transfer my Vang…
+1 Lewis And worse to me is that we're the only developed nation, outliers really, that's having this silly non-productive discussion. Citizens in other nations wouldn't tolerate threats to their health insurance coverage-only here in Outlier Nation…
Yes-I'm glad I only have $1,000 invested in that fund. The 90 day clock(holding period) is running for me on this fund, unless they decide to emulate IOFIX and I have to pay the hostage fee to get out sooner !
