1Q2020, CSMVX lost less than FPACX OAKBX , for example, so even though different investment objectives, impressive performance for a small cap growth fund !
If I was independently wealthy, I can think of a plethora of worthy donees. First, your high school or college may benefit-in my case my Alma Mater has Touchdown Jesus library and an endowment of 10 billion dollars, so they wouldn't need it. HBCU's…
msf How difficult is your econ class? I thought about majoring in economics, but my background in calculus was weak. Majored in Accounting instead so I could get a job after graduation.
+1 Yes-you could have done a lot worse than paying the 3 and 5% load on FCNTX and SGENX in the early 1990's and staying in those fund sthe last 30 years !
Actually your post summed up the dilemma facing bond investors today:stay with intermediate and long term bonds, hoping for lower yields and capital gains from price increases. Or stay invested in MMA and ultrashort bond funds while anticipating hig…
I've learned the hard way to never initiate any more asset transfers to Vanguard ! Their manual process is unacceptable bureaucratic BS with today's technology ! If you have to, buy your Vanguard funds ntf at E-Trade !
Not surprised to see this since some companies won't hire smokers. Of course, healthcare coverage as a public good would eliminate all these practices. But since we're an "exceptional" nation, we're the only OECD nation that doesn't make available …
Hard to feel sorry for Saratoga's whining (member on big bang site) about potential asset bloat in PRWCX. I'm sure GMO or Dimension Funds can handle his millions nicely !
+1 mikem I've cut back on PTIAX and added assets to TRBUX RPHYX PEGAX and SQIFX These 4 are better than earning 1 basis point in my Fido money market account.
Fido must be monitoring this board because when I went to buy BGHAX there, I noticed the 3.5% load. BGHAX is ntf at Vanguard with a 1,000 minimum so I bought it there before Vanguard changes their mind too !
+1 hank Yes-sticking with the same funds makes it more difficult. I myself don't mind churning through funds to make a profit. For example, I've owned funds like FTANX FFANX FASMX and FSANX at different times in my Fido IRA account, harvested profit…
msf Not sure what fund hank was talking about, but if it's a Fidelity fund, I'm sure there are other similar Fidelity funds to replace it. FDGRX is the only irreplaceable fund, as Steven Wymer runs only that fund .
+1 hank PRIHX only has 73 million AUM. Fidelity could take this fund and probably run 500 million or a billion in assets. Still don't know why Fido doesn't have its own high-yield muni fund. HYD is an etf in this space that I've invested in for some…
