From your article:
“When you buy a car, you pay a sales tax of 6 to 8 percent, depending on where you live in Pennsylvania. That's $1,200 to $1,600 for a $20,000 car."
In CT (where I live) not only does the first buyer of a new car pay sales tax o…
Just curious...did you consider financing? I know the rates are really low, but financing may add additional costs... for example certain required insurances that you may not feel you need now that you actually own the car.

Reply to @MikeM: I think OAKIX is a great way to have a little sake with your European dinner. Herro is an active manager which has worked positively for the fund's performance.

Using another analogy; once we post the speed limit (on orders), how many cops will catch hi…
My experience with TRP funds has been that the managers have successfully balance upside performance with downside risk. A number of managers have left TRP this year and I don't know how this will impact these factors going forward or what it says a…
Reply to @cman: Good point Cman...BBRY up 18.7% YTD...I have owned it for over a year and have not added to it, which equates to a (-84%) underperformance...ouch!
Reply to @mcmarasco: Here's two eft suggestions using this mutual fund to etf converter site. What I like about Vanguard etfs are that they do not have trading fees on many etfs through their brokerage.

Reply to @gk3105gklm: Nice fund performance. Thanks for mentioning it. ER is a bit higher than average. Interesting managers...more science than business backgounds. Bit more Mid/Sml/micro cap exposure especially in the healthcare and energy sector.
Thanks so far for all the comments everyone. For those that aren't familiar with Mark's reference to Pony Bob, here's the link.

VWUSX, Vanguard US Growth Fund was a bummer of a fund... dead money from 2000-2014. It was kept on life support by Vanguard by incorporating it in VGSTX, Vanguard Star, which is a fund of funds.
Not sure of the strategy here, but I will pass.
