@hank, "With all due respect, I’d prefer a good NBA game over collegiate" I wonder if there is a difference these days in view of the fact that college sports players can now market their skills/popularity. It's rhetorical so no need to reply.
Never, at least not on purpose. I would prefer not to hold any income producing investments but lenders, rental companies, utility companies, etc., like to see income.
Nearly all of my equity positions pay dividends and/or produce income distributi…
@hank, Be careful using "Think maybe his success is due to some sort of “Divine Intervention”? Maybe I’ll increase my allocation … :)" If I recall Cathie Woods follows a similar path but appears to have taken the wrong fork in the road.
Yes, Eaton Vance. Since everyone's tax situation is different take a look at last years distributions/share and see how you may be affected. The distributions were all either long-term capital gains or income.

@Sven, I guess I was specifically referring to your statement "Fed missed the boat completely to combat inflation last year." and what could have or should have been done then. It seems like it's a tough balancing act and I'm glad that it's not my j…
@Sven - so you don't think that Covid and all of it's ramifications along with supply chain issues had, and continue to have, anything to do with inflation? I just think that it would have been hard to raise rates when folks were already suffering. …

@sma3 - Correct me if I'm wrong but believe it was you who brought this doctor, Katelyn Jetelina, to our attention. Anyway she emailed this today:

From Axios - "The big picture: The attack in western Ukraine comes after Russia warned that arms shipments from NATO countries would be "legitimate targets" for Russian strikes."
Thanks @hank. Good interview and it's always of interest to me to hear from one with boots on the ground experience. (One thing, I think you've got parts 2&3 reversed in order.)
One of my biggest concerns is his mentioning of "no end game." Bas…
Good one OJ!
So this is interesting. It must have to do with the browser or cache on my older Mac laptop. Everything is fine on my 2021 model but not on my 2010 similar. Both have been maintained with all updates and what not so I'll have to do som…
@Old_Joe - when you posted this yesterday I could see your pictures (images). Today I can't. Any ideas why?
BTW - it was an awesome find and the name Endurance is very fitting.
Very interesting indeed. The article states that the concept hasn't reached the US yet but if I've got my mind right some truck commercials show the vehicle's lighting up a home and/or being used as a source of electric power for new home constructi…
And Carl Ichan exited his Occidental Petroleum stock position of at least a similar amount this past week. Makes me wonder who's on the right side of that trade.
@fred495 - I used Fidelity btonresearch the fund because M* had very little usable info. I also looked at the funds website. On Fidelity's quote/trade page the name of the fund was followed by the word FEE in red letters. That's all I know.
Using a beginning value of $10K on 1/1/22 and an ending value of $1375.76 at the close on 3/4/22 it does compute to an 86.24% loss YTD. Whether $10K is the correct starting value I'll let others figure out.
