@Crash -according to my Fidelity quote for FALN:
FALN announced distribution of $0.1223 on 02/01/2024
Announce date 02/01/2024
Record date 02/02/2024
Pay date 02/07/2024
So no games.
OK, so 30-days means squat but my taxable is -0.06% but all my bill payments come out of there, and my Roth is +2.9%. The Roth is slanted heavily toward income producers (read bond funds) along with FXAIX(SPY), FTEC, GOOGL and sundry others.
I'm on…
@Crash - fwiw I don't think RE is a bad sector, but with all stocks when you buy and at what valuation makes a lot of difference, a heckuva lot. You like(ed) PSTL, just keep an eye on it. I don't expect to see the postal service's need for property …
@Derf - no clue whatsoever. That's why I'm hedging my bets and trading in small increments. GOOGL hasn't dropped like today in some time and I didn't feel that their results were that bad. My avg cost is below a Benjamin.
I guess I should be happy that I don't 'always' need to be looking for the cheapest widget out there. There's also forever the mantra "you get what you pay for".
”Much of last year’s 26% gain in the SPDR S&P 500 exchange-traded fund was due to the stellar performance of the Magnificent Seven —the mostly tech-stock behemoths that are the index’s biggest holdings. … " (taken from @hank post above)

Yes, massive disbelief. I think it was heartbreaking for the nation as a whole. The teacher in space pre-launch buildup generated a lot of interest IIRC.
Excellent news! Is there any way I can become a member of that witch hunt party? I mean, other than I'm doing now. And can his base of (morons) support shovel out that much more in campaign donations (snicker) to bail him out?
I don't know how to post memes or video's here but I saw one the other day that suggested that Boeing convert to rubber planes. That way when their planes go down rather than a scene of death and destruction the plane will just Boeing, Boeing, Boein…
FWIW - I have made a handful of account transfers from other brokerage firms (Schwab, Scottrade) or mutual fund companies to my Fidelity account. In all cases I filled out Fidelities forms directing them to initiate the transfers. They have all gone…
When I read through this thread (and many others) it takes me back to the old FundAlarm discussion board format where there seemed to be posts/threads inside the original post. I miss that because it was easier to follow in terms of who said what to…
Don't feel bad if you haven't OJ. Lived in MN most of my adult life and I haven't ever rode a snowmobile. Now dog sledding, well that's a whole different trip and thrill.
Ah Iowans and republicans in general. If they had any principals or moral integrity they wouldn't have voted for any of those candidates. Baffles me to no end.
Thanks @ MikeM - I noticed that along with noticing that he holds Utilities at roughly 3X the category average and energy at roughly half the category average in both TCAF and PRWCX. These were small additions for me and I already have a boat load o…
A Buffalo v. Detroit Super Bowl would be perfect! Disliked seeing the Steelers lose (long time fan) but thoroughly enjoyed seeing the Cowboys getting it handed to them.
@catch22 - I do the same as @mcmarasco. I tend to be mostly fully invested at all times and I also hold a position in FZDXX. If I wish to make a buy the money is pulled from FZDXX as though it was my core MM account. No blips or hitches to date. If …
I suppose it's romantic in a sense sending ones ashes into space but do we really need to be sending more junk into space? Just my silly way of thinking.
@rforno - just wondering if you considered PBDC before selecting BIZD? I own neither but like the holdings of the former v. the latter. To date I've only speculated in individual holdings.
I can't locate any information that states CALF specifically avoids the financial sector (and/or any other sector). Here's the current Fact Sheet from Pacer.
I added CALF to my holdings a few months back. It offers a different take on individual small cap stock selection. I expect to continue to hold it but no promises as I hold other equity positions that in crude small caps.
@hank noted: "These schemes work best for investors with mega-bucks to invest, as it’s the scale of the investment that makes them profitable. Indeed, hedge funds have been borrowing money (often from investment banks) to wager billions on similar b…
Yes but mostly no. I picked up a bit of PFE 6 wks ago, and held on to POAGX (lots of biotech held there) hoping for a healthcare rebound of sorts although I've come to eschew the sector for many of the reasons expressed so far. I've never shown a gr…
"What is about ETFs that Capital Group is not able to estimate distributions even 3-4 business days before ex-date? "
@BaluBalu - I don't think that's specific to Capital Group. I also own ETF's from Invesco, Fidelity and others where a distributi…
