Making tactical asset allocation tilts is not market timing.
I think that an advantage of PRGTX (which I own) over the other TRP funds in its category is that the large majority of them have this notation: "Redemption Fee: 2% (90 days or less)."
Huh.......
I was going to pass on Rondure, but I decided to take a position in the Overseas fund. The fund symbol ROSOX was the clincher (wry smile). I did very well investing early with the boys at Grandeur Peak, but trimmed my positions eventually. I did no…
Just curious... Why do you emphasize so much on timing of buying a fund based on Int'l/EM expected to outperform US? That has no bearing on how the fund manager will do (alpha). It is entirely based on the market (beta) returns.....
@MikeM2
Both funds and classes are available at TD with a 2K minimum. The N shares have no TF, but the I shares come with a TF of $49.99 unless one has a pricing agreement with TD for a lower TF -- in my case $17.99. I will be holding the I class o…
Hi @JoJo26,
I'm wondering if MSFAX is a fund that you own? Being an institutional fund the threshold to purchase is 5mil ... Do you know where it can be purchased back of the 5 mil?
Nice looking fund; but, beyond my capacity at 5mil!
Edit: Afte…

Isn't it fun when you learn lessons with other people's money instead of your own?
While there is validity to this statement, it's not like he didn't lose anything either. He's invested in Pershing Funds alongside investors so also suffered losses..…
@JoJo26,
Going back to your statement ... "Timming the market is a fools game."
This is not so much about what I personally have done it is what others and their timing strategies have done. You have provided nothing that substaniates or backs up…
You are the one making statement you can't posture. You're all about confirmation bias. All you're doing is looking for stuff that defends your position. Prove to me with actual events/performance that you have been able to time the market and add v…
I'm going to be cautious as well. I like Laura Geritz and I hope she succeeds but I'd like to see how their funds come together and how they do before I believe her approach to emerging markets is going to beat Grandeur Peak or Seafarer, or even Ma…
I think the lower expenses have to do with a couple things: 1) Wasatch charges way too much, 2) Rondure will be larger cap. WAFMX is not exclusively FM either...
I own WAEMX, SFGIX and CIPDX. I'm quite done with Emerging markets.
However I'm watching two emerging market funds carefully. ARTZX and ARTYX. I've always maintained ARTYX was only started because ARTZX couldn't get investors. So Artisan hires this …
My biggest compliant (really a conundrum) is that almost all Buffalo funds all have a 1.01% ER. You'd think they would shave .02% off these fund's ER so that they could be marketed as below 1%. Very curious.
I actually appreciate that they don't us…
