davidrmoran : No need to send billing, it's the amount that caught my attention!
A few years back I bought a 2 yr Cd @ 3%. After the second year came to an end I "wished " I had a 5 yr CD as their rates went into a steady decline.
I believe a CD ladder is the way to go. That kind of puts a lot of cash into one CD on hold.

@ Vanguard ; I put in 3 buys all of the same MF. my bad ! Called to straighten out the buy of 3 funds , all different. They fixed my f up. This happened about 3 years ago.
All is good, Derf
Is there a baseball hall of fame for announcers ? Possible the hall of fame in Canton Ohio, takes this in ? It seems I have football & baseball hall of fame locations mixed up.
@Baseball_Fan : I checked average 5 year cd's issued .from January 2019. 1.4 -1.5 %
Your total sum seems somewhat suspicious for holding it that long, 3.5 years .
If you google , average cd rate 2019, you should find a chart.
I'll also admit it…
@Old_Joe : From prior trial, it appears that rates shown @ Schwab aren't available at the bank issuing the rates. I don't know if this statement is 100 % true, but the one bank I looked into in my area showed no cd rate as what Schwab showed. Thus o…
@ catch22 : Thank you for the re-awakening. I left the trade about the time this fracking was taking place & only dealt with a hand full of local wells. Unfortunately the polluting one way or another still happens today.
@Crash : That video of the burning water looks to me to be a little bit flaky Noted the stream of water appears to have air or some type of gas added to it. After finishing the homes of to many to count homes this fluctuation of water happens when…
Question for those that commented on this thread. Did anyone take a position in energy when it went negative in 2020 ?

@MikeM : "But again, for me this is my version of gambling which I do for enjoyment and makes up less than 3% of total. "
You can't tell me you don't have a buck or two on the Bills !?

@hank : I'll restate my comment. Is it time to leave the market & invest elsewhere. Is it possible Mr. Market will take more than a break & & wallow for a number of years in a quagmire ? Until the easy money flows no more & the Fed …
A thought to hash over. If & when the holders & nibblers get back to even will you cash out & go to something with less risk ? I've started to buy a few CD's, buy just maybe it's time to do some more nibbling. ???
"I am on target... I use Merriman's 60/40 index portfolio as a benchmark. Presently doing about 3% better than it has."
As of the end of June -17.27 % return for 60/40 Merriman's ! Par for the course.

@msf : Are the investors ahead of the "game" due to the fact that Mr. Market took a dump after the first of the year. After paying the tax , Mr Investor could now buy back more of the funds that got hit with high CG's at a lower price. Thus now one …
Appears at this time our weekend paper won't be delivered as the price of gas is to high !
Maybe the printer should furnish EV's to get the job done.
Enjoy your 4/th , Derf
@MikeM & others. If you say your not going to reduce your equity allotment, have you been adding to positions as the market fell to keep one at their equity allotment ?
I started buying before , a small amount, to add to some position befor…
@TheShadow : Nice find. Time to check the bill again. Pay-back is a Bitch !
