Will she be able to roll over any money in that account to another account if she leaves that job? It doesn't sound like the kind of company one would want to leave money with.
You have a good point. The EU really needs to step up here.
I watched PM Tony Abbott of Australia on the tube yesterday. He is showing some strength on the matter. I don't know how much Russia depends on Australia's commodities but if it is signif…
Looking at the funds investment strategy and objectives, it seems the manager is doing exactly what it says. The five year chart shows a pretty good return too.
That is not a bad idea. Putin feels like he can run roughshod over everyone else. It's time someone put their boot down and showed some mettle.
Sorry for getting political here but it won't happen with this current administration. He is more conce…
Life insurance companies live off of these annuities. When she retires they will want to roll it over into another annuity. More money for them. Hopefully that hospital gets enough feedback from employees that they expand their offerings. I went thr…
Yes and I was also thinking of PanAm. Malaysian is in a horrible debt situation after the MH370 incident. The airline has government support but it is a small airline.
I hope the whole world comes together on this probably through the UN. Australi…
Generally speaking, the Asian legacy airlines are superb in their service. They will take care of you when problems arise. A couple of years ago we missed a connection on All Nippon due to weather. They put us in a nice hotel, meals and transported …
No I was not but I have acquired a fascination in aviation. A good friend if mine who has since passed was a senior captain for United. He flew the 747 from JFK to Tokyo. His son is taking up the profession and is almost finished with training. Also…

A dollar just isn't what it used to be.
My take; the govt knows they cannot cover everyone so they sugar coat the numbers to make everyone feel good until that time comes. It makes me wonder if the FDIC insurance runs on the same scheme?
If the investors owning the fund are aware of this change then there may not be a problem. However this could impact those close to retirement if a bear shows up.
This kind of tactic is better for asset allocation funds IMO. I do own one that can …
Impressive. Funny part is Qatar airlines was planning to introduce their 380's but pulled back after Etihad put this out. Not to be outdone I suppose.

Picked up some AAPL after the split. I like the future for this company. HealthKit, wearables, iBeacon, and the new iPhone.
Tim Cook has established himself well as the CEO after the passing of Steve Jobs.

I believe Professor Sharpe had it down to 6…
I think MJG meant pithy observations, not pity.
How much of these underperforming funds held by investors are in 401k plans with very limited or poor choices?
