My bond holdings are IOFAX, SEMPX, and HOBEX, plus a small position in SWRSX. I have to admit my understanding of bonds is somewhat limited other than price goes up as interest rate goes down.
Thank you to all for taking the time to respond. All accounts are at Schwab, so I am attempting to avoid the transaction fee. I may just make a one time purchase and see if my consultant can have the fee waived.

I am becoming more pleased that I chose to use the Schwab Intelligent Portfolios. I will likely move more assets into them. It certainly makes investing much simpler.
