@JoihnChisum; U.S. futures looking good. And fireworks, I'll show you some fireworks, the best I've ever seen ! Regards, Ted U.S. Futures: http://finviz.com/futures.ashx
In light of what is happening, how does everybody feel about Vanguard's move to include the A shares in the emerging market Index? This will give Shanghai and Shenzhen-listed stocks a 5.6 per cent weighting.
@DavidMMP: Didn't realize that being short = being "dirty". May not be funny to some, but facts is facts. My, how very PC... next time I'll try "vertically challenged".
Edit/Add: Just wondering if mentioning that there are a lot of tall Scandinavians is "dirty" too?

Nikkei 225 is down a couple %, ASX (Australia) down about a %.
Nikkei down ~ 3% tonight
China opening in 30 minutes, more companies added to their halted list for today.
Fun times.....
That'll only make things worse.
Edit: almost 3% down now.
I'm stArting to wonder if they will just stop theShanghai exchange. Having 50% of the holdings suspended is not fair to the other half it would seem.
Exchange updates are very slow online. I figured this would happen. So your source may be behind for the time being.
ZH says there's reports that local police may arrest short sellers. Any truth to that? (That could explain the bounce today)
Given everything else they've (desperately) tried in recent days, if true I can't say I'd be surprised.
(I have to go back to the home, now...)
Hang Seng up almost 4%. Chinese brokerage stocks up double digits.
I did not find your statements about Chinese being short that funny, I found it to be offensive even though I am not Chinese.
Not a joke.

Ted

Singapore and New Zealand were the only markets down. Australia was even.
I have a hunch Shanghai will close later this week due to incoming typhoons. Two of them.
Few articles on China's stock market decline. In light of what is happening, how does everybody feel about Vanguard's move to include the A shares in the emerging market Index? This will give Shanghai and Shenzhen-listed stocks a 5.6 per cent weighting.

What I think he's saying: "I'm rich. I'm really really rich!"
