  • Seems like a bigger fool scenario. Think my 403b deposits will reside in cash awaiting a 10% or greater decline in the S&P.

    Since 1957, there have been nine bear markets. Three bears were not associated with recessions. Likewise, there have been nine recessions, three of which were not associated with bear markets. Just fyi.

  • Economically - I think we can all agree this has been a fragile recovery. So, I don't think that will be a catalyst.

    Stock market wise - it is jittery. Any sort of an event - terrorist, oil interruption - could push it over the cliff.
