Since 1957, there have been nine bear markets. Three bears were not associated with recessions. Likewise, there have been nine recessions, three of which were not associated with bear markets. Just fyi.

Stock market wise - it is jittery. Any sort of an event - terrorist, oil interruption - could push it over the cliff.
