    Old_Joe,

I attempted to add the commentary that is in my 4:17 AM post above.
A generic error was repeatedly displayed—I was unable to post a comment after making numerous attempts.
I tried navigating to different categories and to other threads before attempting to repost.
I also tried signing off / signing on and posting a one word comment—all to no avail.
Approximately ~30 minutes after my last failed attempt, I checked again.
All my prior comments had been cached and were subsequently posted.
    Sorry for the huge mess!
  • I'm still confused. Maybe held down the wrong key?

Al Jazeera's guest at one point this evening says that due to the widespread missile strikes on the Arab States (and Israel,) we might see a coalition including the US, to fight against Iran. Shades of 1991 vs. Iraq.

No, that was not the issue.
I wasn't able to post a comment after making repeated attempts and checking after each attempt.
A generic error message was always displayed.
I did not do anything differently except during the troubleshooting process as previously described.
    Very strange!

"Michael Birnbaum, John Hudson, Karen DeYoung, Natalie Allison, and Souad Mekhennet reported
this evening in the Washington Post that U.S. intelligence officers assessed that a threat from Iran
was not 'imminent,' saying it was unlikely that Iran would pose a threat to the U.S. mainland
    for at least ten years
. The International Atomic Energy Agency says there is no evidence Iran
has an active plan for creating nuclear weapons, and the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency assessed
that if Iran tries to build an intercontinental ballistic missile, it will take them at least a decade."

"It’s a given that this sort of vaguely justified attack on another country usually reflects that the leaders
in the attacking country are worried about losing power and are launching a war to try to get
disaffected people to rally around the flag."

"Indeed, social media users are already referring to the attack as 'Operation Epstein Fury,'
suggesting it is an attempt to distract from the frequent appearance of the president’s name
    in the Epstein files
as well as the recent story that the Department of Justice illegally withheld
an allegation that Trump raped a thirteen-year-old
    ."

"Scholar of authoritarianism Timothy Snyder noted in Thinking About… that Trump’s personal corruption
is another interpretive framework for thinking about his decision to go to war.

Trump’s sudden foray into regime change after years of attacking other presidents who tried it
raises the question of whether he is acting for other countries in the Middle East he considers his allies."

"Trump launched his attack while lawmakers were not scheduled to be in Washington, D.C., for a week,
but Democrats are demanding Congress return immediately to vote on whether to continue military action
against Iran. Senator Andy Kim (D-NJ) said in an interview: 'This is one of the most dangerous efforts
that Trump is undertaking in the second term: trying to normalize war without Congress,
trying to normalize the idea that a president can just do whatever they want when it comes to foreign policy.'"

"Here’s the real reason for this war. Trump wants it to divert Americans’ attention from everything that’s
gone to shit on his watch
: the economy, ICE’s cruel raids and murders, the crisis in public health
as exemplified by the measles epidemic, our loss of friends and allies around the world,
his boundless corruption, and his increasing unpopularity as shown in plummeting polls."

"Oh, and there are the Epstein files, rapidly closing in on the man whose history of sexual assaults
and braggadocio make his complicity highly likely."

"Benjamin Netanyahu is also using this war as a giant diversion.
He doesn’t want the world to dwell on the genocide in Gaza and the West Bank."

@Observant1- yes, I agree with the above. With respect to the repetitive posts, I've noticed intermittent communications delays and failures for the last few days. It seems that the MFO software gremlins have never been really killed off- they still crawl out from under the bed every once in a while. I've never seen anything like what you encountered, though. You are obviously on the cutting edge of gremlin activation!

"You are obviously on the cutting edge of gremlin activation!"

Yes, I am truly honored to earn this dubious distinction! ;-)
  • Looking back it's hard to believe that the sperm that is him won the race.
@Old_Joe I think it was intended to create separation. Dunno.
  • Weekend Update: U.S. Launches Attack on Iran; Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei Killed - SNL

  • The Sunday politics talk show guests keep asking "What was/is the 'imminent threat'" that caused the strike on Iran?

None of the hosts or guests have posed the possible answer, yet I believe @JD_co is correct: it is the Epstein files.
