We were told tariffs would definitely kill the economy, recession and inflation guaranteed. For days, before Davos, the warnings piled up: Trump was attacking our allies, planning massive tariffs, threatening Greenland, on and on.
Then Trump arrived, and within hours, many key points of the deal were settled. None of the predicted disasters happened.
So now the narrative flips. Suddenly it’s “TACO.”
Trump started by aiming at the sky and landed exactly where he needed to be. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, the guy who matters most, was the biggest supporter of the deal.
