After 2025 loss, Trump planning future coup, says his WH lawyer from 1st term
And how much coverage, overall, is this prospect getting in the news from day to day? Not much. ICE masked Gestapo are kidnapping people. Even citizens are being held, just for the intimidation and cruelty message it sends. Lately, there have been more reports about such activity even out here in Hawaii.
The Repugnants will get away with whatever they can in the mid-terms, make no mistake. They already know they can't win without cheating. So, they are engaging in all sorts of machinations to set the stage.
@Crash Ty Cobb knows what he’s talking about, but unfortunately, this isn’t getting much coverage. If trump concludes that the Democrats will take the House, there will be no midterm elections.

I'm inclined to believe you. And it will be the end.
Is it a military coup if the military remains on post as the regime burns the constitution? Perhaps that’s what is in the works. So the military doesn’t actually seize power, they just let one fellow declare he is the king while they stand down.

I've been waiting for SOME KIND of refusal. But he's fired all the guys loyal to the CONSTITUTION, eh?
I agree there should be concern. But, I'll play Devil's advocate, if that is the correct term.
I am not so certain this bunch can pull off a coup. They botched the 2020 attempt to halt election certification. It was amateur hour. They were unable to stop this year's election drubbing. They sure as hell are not going to be able to get away with collecting people's guns. Not in America. There is estimated to be 500 million guns in circulation.
I am pretty certain that they have lost the Latino vote. This year's elections showed that. And they lost the under 30 vote. It is possible that they lost both for decades. Inflation and racism tend to leave an impression.
Even our well-equipped army is made up of a lot of people on both sides, and many of them are not even stationed in the U.S. Did I mention 500 million civilian guns in circulation?
He can potentially trigger a lot of violence though, which will not end well for anybody. Particularly, his cabal. Many destroyed their reputations and went to jail last time.
...Many destroyed their reputations and went to jail last time...
And Uncle Orange the Insect Scum is busy pardoning them all. Rule of Law, much? Not any more. It will take a generation or two of Repugnant "Party" deaths, plus some additional, key individual deaths, to enable this country to reclaim some inkling of a semblance of normalcy again.
Evil junk has already been done in this country before, all perfectly legal. The difference with the Orange Tool is that it is ILLEGAL, and the Repugnant Congress is a pathetic Spectator to it all.
Remember the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidency? Won (vs. Tilden) by a huge horse-trading exchange. The Republicans took the Presidential Election by agreeing to kill the presence of federal troops in Southern States where Jim Crow was already rooted and growing. It was the end of Reconstruction...Civil Rights Act? Not until 1965, and still in process of becoming what it ought to already be. ************* Wiki: Tilden won the popular vote by 250,000 votes but 20 electoral votes were in dispute, leaving Tilden and Hayes without a majority of the electoral vote. As Tilden had won 184 electoral votes, one vote shy of a majority, a Hayes victory required that he sweep all of the disputed electoral votes. Against Tilden's wishes, Congress appointed the bipartisan Electoral Commission to settle the controversy. Republicans had a one-seat advantage on the Commission, and decided in a series of party-line rulings that Hayes had won all of the disputed electoral votes. In the Compromise of 1877, Democratic leaders agreed to accept Hayes as the victor in return for the end of Reconstruction. ************** Remember the well-meaning embrace of Russia after the fall of the Soviet regime? Not enough, by a long shot, was required by the rest of the world's leaders in terms of real, actual, positive change in the new Russia. Look at it now: a mafia style gang-ocracy.
Just the way the U.S. is being "governed" under this Crime Syndicate family, led by the Orange Don.
