I.C.E. Report(s) L.A. Dodgers organization denies access to stadium by ICE agents (Thursday morning)

First, a large salute to the L.A. Dodgers organization.

For me/we, I.C.E. actions provide a best view of the destruction of 'rule of law'.

For as long as I can stand placing links, without becoming physically ill; I will add to this thread regarding I.C.E. and/or immigration related reports.

Your adds are most welcome.

  • Reportedly, the detained man was an interpreter for the U.S. military in Afghanistan.

"The video is particularly chilling for James Seddon, a 21-year Navy veteran who served in Afghanistan and works with #AfghanEvac to legally resettle those who aided the U.S. during its longest war. He is concerned about the message this sends to potential allies in future conflicts."

  • i over-dosed on playing baseball before high school, and was a yankees\reds fan.
since then i dislike baseball, but am new dodgers fan.
  • Good for them! Let's hope the Giants adopt a similar policy.

Unless they have a valid warrant, locking the door and hanging the "closed" sign is perfectly legal. And recommended.
  • From the San Francisco Chronicle:
A San Francisco restaurant owner told this story: “We ran out of ice the other night. I called for more, and I told our hostess to alert the kitchen staff when the delivery arrived. It got here, the hostess popped her head into the kitchen and shouted, ‘The ice is here!’

“Everyone disappeared. One guy was hiding on top of the walk-in refrigerator, three of them were in a closet.”

The restaurant owner told the story without so much as a smile.

how can these MAGA sleazeballs think they can walk into property where a private group pays many millions to rent?
the dodgers leases could make them liable for injury , damage, and dozens of other criminal actions by ice.

as for renting space from anyone aware of its use, of course trump and his thugs are cheap as hell when payments are not to cronies.
how long until rightwing media deem dodgers unpatriotic?

    And the Beat Goes On.....

Let me think about this, eh? Unmarked cars, heads usually covered and face mask. And body armor with all types of weapons of war. Oh, wait; it's not a snitch raid in some foreign city that we find on the back pages of a newspaper; the events are in American cities.
Are they stopping by, as is the linked article; for a car wash? We guess not.
These masked folks can't all be clowns of destruction; but too many in a uniform do fall out the deep end of life from the exposure to things they encounter and/or are forced to perform to keep their employment. One wonders how many are beginning to have emotional problems and for those with families; how things are going at home after the day at 'work'.

Now that the mid-east war is finished:)
, the war in our country continues for the survival of a decent society with proper 'rule of law'.

  • Hi @Old_Joe thank you for for the notify. The LA site lets me pass through to read for whatever reason. I've a added a clean Yahoo link in the original post. Tis the same info, including pics.

Thank @catch22. The article in truly disturbing that reminds me of Tom Clancy’s movies.

Over the past week we were in Westwood attending our kid’s graduation. UCLA had a tight security around the campus to ensure safety for all attendees. Security check-in and attendance tickets were required. These were security guards directing traffic. Must importantly, they were inspecting vehicles coming into the parking lots. I cannot imagine having masked armed agents on university property would be totally unacceptable in such joyful moment.

However, we saw national guards at the entrances of federal buildings, veterans administration.

More recently, Yahoo site changed their policy and requests a subscription in order to read further.
  • Hi @Sven So, you couldn't read the article at Yahoo ???
  • Hi @catch22, I have no problem reading the yahoo article. Thank again for the new link.
  • Strangely, I had no trouble with the Yahoo link. No issues. Yet, they have blocked my email unless I disarm my adblocker. Screw them.
  • Father of 3 U.S. Marines arrested by I.C.E. while doing landscaping work at an IHOP.

One son reported today, June 24; that his father's eyes still burned from MACE, same bloody clothing and a painful shoulder, and still in custody.

I will note he is undocumented, but hasn't any criminal record.

I'd like to give this lady a big hug.

  • Spot on. Those ICE slimeballs have a QUOTA to fill, ordered up by napoleonic little-handed Stevie Miller. Grown-up child, just like those grossly obese dressed-up bullies with guns.
