I’ll note that
@David_Snowball edited / updated his long-standing
“Welcome to MFO” thread at the top of the discussion board on March 27. Just wanted to make sure folks were aware of that. I’ve said as much as I can say on the topic already - nothing to add. You guys be the judge of whether or not you’re satisfied with the tenor and direction the board is going.
Edit 4/3/25 - I posted this earlier in OT as
a point of information thinking some may not have noticed David’s March 27 edit. As it has elicited several remarks (one or more relating the civility issue to return on investments) I’ll move it into “other investing” where more may read / add to the discussion.

However, if I'm understanding correctly, it's been suggested that posts which have the potential to attract political or uncivil responses should not be posted in the "Other Investing" section.
I firmly reject the suggestion that I should censor the placement of my posts based upon the possible comments of some other poster. The responsibility for unduly political or uncivil responses is squarely upon the shoulders of such posters, and I will not pre-censor my posts in deference to such conduct.
Yes, you have made your feelings/opinion known several times. You ask for people to do A or B, now I'm asking you, please ignore what you don't like rather than trying to silence it.
Would be great if there was an IGNORE (MUTE) tag option, as this would help resolve such issues.
Trolls hate such tools, as they are rendered invisible.
