Here's a statement of the obvious: The opinions expressed here are those of the participants, not those of the Mutual Fund Observer. We cannot vouch for the accuracy or appropriateness of any of it, though we do encourage civility and good humor.
Speaking of futures... At some point in the future, some are betting dollars to donuts there will be multiple investigations into investment accounts of the rich and famous who profited during these highly volatile times.
Trump and Musk are gutting virtually any federal government office which could independently investigate anything. It's going to be one hell of a long time before any of that investigative authority is rebuilt. And that's no accident.
HA! I gave it a few weeks. But it may not last a few days. Big bluff - no substance, no brains and mucho lies. Master negotiator my a**. He painted his fat butt into a corner.
Dump will likely claim that the US received "concessions" and then he will backpedal out of this hot mess pronto.

Well, I didn't say they would go anywhere. That said, having participated in federal programs investigations, sometimes it just takes a lone wolf to make a killing, so to speak.
Awful. One look at Bloomberg and he’s still running off at the mouth past 10 PM. Thank God for music. If anyone happens to be a Gleason fan, “Love Letters” is the best of the lot IMHO.
Way too long, way too partisan, and way too much BS. Trump is a pathological liar. Thanks for the link to NPR's fact check! Pride cometh before the fall...
Agree with you. Yet, the Orange Criminal has had no comeuppance yet, and his lawyers have delayed and delayed and delayed his accountability (and sentencing!) to the point where he got himself elected again, and because of avoiding politics, the DOJ will not prosecute a sitting President. Ironically, Orange FOTUS has weaponized and politicized everything, surrounding himself with Yes Men. SCOTUS is a cudgel, too. The rest of the Judiciary is half-owned by him, as well. All of the formerly apolitical arms of gummint now serve The "King." The coup d'etat continues, day in and day out. Right before our eyes.
The Felonious Skunk™ has avoided prosecution for several serious crimes (e.g., Jan.6, classified docs). His lust for power/greed is exerting severe stress to our system of checks and balances. Felonious Skunk™ displayed enormous hubris in his address to Congress yesterday. I believe he will eventually overstep certain boundaries and will face increased opposition. Policies for Medicaid, veteran affairs, tariffs, or DOGE could be the "straw that broke the camel's back." Earlier today, The Supreme Court ruled the Trump administration could not freeze funds for foreign aid.
"A divided U.S. Supreme Court declined on Wednesday to let President Donald Trump's administration withhold payment to foreign aid organizations for work they already performed for the government as the Republican president moves to pull the plug on American humanitarian projects around the world."
"Handing a setback to Trump, the court in a 5-4 decision upheld Washington-based U.S. District Judge Amir Ali's order that had called on the administration to promptly release funding to contractors and recipients of grants from the U.S. Agency for International Development and the State Department for their past work."
"Aid organizations accused Trump in lawsuits of exceeding his authority under federal law and the U.S. Constitution by effectively dismantling an independent federal agency and canceling spending authorized by Congress."

TOT walks thru a crowded room as bystanders gasp at the suffocating, obnoxious stench.
Without saying a word, or even opening its mouth, TOT has the look of "It ain't me!" on its face.
But truth be told, that unmistakable, putrid combination of orange BO and stale farts is all its!
Got it!
Without saying a word, TOT has the look of "You just wait... I'm gonna get you." on his face:
