  • Cool Link. Thanks @Mona. I had to pretty much scroll through 100-50 before I started to recognize the songs and artists. Cripes I'm getting old but still putting up a good fight when it's called for.

That was sure fun to sing along with some of the soundtrack of my early life, in the 'Nam era, esp. Buffalo Springfield/CSNY, Dylan, Pete Seeger and more.

Kinda stunned, tho to see a top 100 like that with no Joan Baez. (The Byrds' Deportee is terrific, but I bet Joan B's version is what most people remember.) The only time I saw her in concert was during her last tour, and she had us all tearing up as she led the whole hall at the close in singing Amazing Grace and We Shall Overcome.

Gracias for the musical memories, @Mona.
  • I loved scrolling through! Memories. But the music gave us a sense of solidarity and power in numbers, too. Here's some more:

    Joni Mitchell: "Woodstock."

    T. Morelo, B. Springsteen: "Ghost of Tom Joad."

Warren Zevon: "Roland, The Headless Thompson Gunner."

Bruce Cockburn, "If I Had A Rocket Launcher."

    CSN&Y "Wooden Ships."

  • I would have ranked these two MUCH higher.

    38. Buffalo Springfield "For What It's Worth"
    15. Marvin Gaye "What's Going On"
