Further evidence of nation’s crumbling infrastructure - lights go out at the White House.

edited July 2018 in Off-Topic
President Donald Trump wanted to make an important point. And then the lights went out. Trump was saying Tuesday that he has “full faith” in the U.S. intelligence agencies in the aftermath of his Helsinki news conference when the lights in the White House Cabinet Room dimmed and briefly went out, leaving the room mostly in darkness.

  • Clearly crumbling infrastructure is an economic matter that could affect our investments. Meaning, the Whiny One should have no issue with this post.
  • The darkness in that room had nothing to do with the electrical infrastructure.

  • Yeah. Reportedly Kelly leaned against the switch. Oopsie!

Good one @Mark. Here’s how Robert Frost put it in Mending Wall:

“.... like an old-stone savage armed.
He moves in darkness as it seems to me,
Not of woods only and the shade of trees.”
  • The lights went out at the White House about a year ago. And they're still out.
  • Perhaps the lights going out is like Pinocchio, every time he told a lie his nose grew larger; if the lights went out every time Trump told a lie, at least he would stop complaining about fake news.
  • From a NYTimes OpEd:

"his administration had rebuffed every invitation from the Obama transition team during an inherently stressful time, including to learn how to keep the lights on."

  • @slick: If 'rump's nose got longer every time he lied, he would have been permanenty camped out on the White House lawn staring into space long ago.
  • @icyone at least he could serve the country as a place to play ring toss.
  • Careful fellas,,, Teddy boy is watching
