I usually stay in legacy mode for Morningstar portfolios & so adding dividends/reinvestments is easy to do. But I just noticed that in the new investor portfolios view, I don't see that option. Am I missing something?
Stick to Legacy Portfolio as long as possible. It has a feature to reinvest Dividends under Modify. If applied, portfolio is updated in Legacy Portfolio as well as in new Investor Portfolio.
But in the new Investor Portfolio, this feature isn't present because it will get the current information from your brokerage link. If you don't connect to your brokerage, you are out of luck. You can update each dividend manually, but hardly anyone would do that.
In a way, the new Investor Portfolio treats Legacy Portfolio as your pseudo-brokerage portfolio.
Thanks. That's what I thought. I just thought I might have missed something. Is there an advantage for morningstar to push to get users to link their accounts?

Understood. But that's how I've always done it. I use a couple apps for tracking. One seemed to go bonkers a week ago so replaced it with a new one .The new one claims to be able to update dividends automatically. Will see about that. If true it represents a big leap forward. Have never linked any external app or website to my brokerage / or other accounts. Never will.
Discovered by chance this morning - Yahoo does an excellent job displaying pre-market prices if that should be of help to anyone. My new app has a direct link to it. Kind of nice.
