Hi @Derf . I'm a MSU fan first from educational/geographic connection. But, I'll favor U-M against other teams. And Wisconsin. The lost of coaching staff over the years and the 'damn' portal has whacked them. I always cheered for them, too; and could expect a seriously good team. The portal, starting from day one, wasn't a good plan in my mind. How the hell does one plan to build a team? I looked at this from a business team and know if a work team I was part of for 35 years had a rotation of workers every year, the team would have had a serious performance impact to the negative side.

@catch22 Thanks for reply. Badger basketball used the portal this year to fill the lineup & we'll see how this works out. They played Oklahoma in exhibition & lost by 2 pts. The Big 10 should be a contest of great interest again, as I see #1 Purdue recently lost.
Portal was installed in haste , more rules need to be added as thought by this reclining coach.
Last year Kansas acquired top player from WI. BB & paid him handsomely! Problem for Kansas as he was a bust for them. Lesson learned.
Football team lost a player to FL. team & that is still working it's way through the courts as far as I know.
