    I have to admit that I'm not familiar with the NTIP acronym.
    There are a several different meanings associated with NTIP:
    Naval Treaty Implementation Program
    New Teacher Induction Program
    Northern Tier Interoperability Project
    National Tuberculosis Indicators Project
    National Turkey Improvement Plan

    Did the verification process for the Naval Treaty Implementation Program indicate facilities were in compliance?

    Is this somehow related to the New Teacher Induction Program in Ontario, Canada?

    Did the Northern Tier Interoperability Project solve data/information sharing issues for first responders?

    Did HHS Secretary Kennedy decide to keep funding intact for the National Tuberculosis Indicators Project?

    Did USDA Secretary Rollins revive the National Turkey Improvement Plan to improve turkey quality and reduce disease?

    Inquiring minds want to know...

    NTIP was quite common on the old FundAlarm discussion board. It was coined/designed to let participants know that they were looking at all they were going to see.

    Mark, thanks for the historical perspective.
    I figured out NTIP meant No Text In Post after executing a second search query.
    I was also curious about the other meanings hence my post above.
    This sometimes happens when I have too much time on my hands!

    I use ntp because that is the way I learned it years ago.

    @Sven- yes sir, but that has to be taken in context: many others here did very, very well in equities the last couple of years while our investments were lucky to keep up with inflation. But that's fine- at our ages, we have enough to keep us comfortably, and we no longer need to play the more dangerous game. Everyone's playbook is a bit different, depending upon their individual circumstances.
