How long before the the 2 narcissist relationship goes down in flames. Will it last a year?

edited December 19 in Off-Topic
OR -- will President Musk keep Trump around?

When you get 2 like Musk Trump together: I googled "when 2 narcissist meet" ==

########
When two narcissists meet, it can often lead to a highly volatile, dramatic, and destructive relationship, marked by intense power struggles, constant competition for attention, and manipulation as both individuals strive to assert their own superiority and ego, creating a chaotic dynamic where neither person is willing to compromise or acknowledge the other's needs.

Key aspects of a relationship between two narcissists:
Ego clashes:
Both individuals will constantly try to outdo the other, exaggerating their accomplishments and minimizing their partner's achievements to maintain their own inflated self-image.
Power struggles:
A constant battle for control, with each person attempting to manipulate the other to gain dominance in the relationship.
Lack of empathy:
Neither person is capable of genuinely understanding or caring about the other's feelings, leading to a cold and emotionally distant dynamic.
Triangulation:
Using other people to create jealousy and maintain power within the relationship.
Projection:
Attributing their own negative traits and behaviors onto their partner.
Devaluation and idealization cycles:
Initially idealizing the other person, followed by rapid devaluation and criticism when the narcissist feels threatened or their needs are not met.

  • The whole Big Picture simply disgusts me. Repugnant Party has morphed into a Trump-cult, going back to his first election. I can't equate Dems and Reps as equally bad. McConnell, R. Paul, Chip Roy, K. McCarthy, M. Johnson, along with so many others, are simply obstructionist doinks. The overall political environment is such that their extreme rhetoric and behavior is getting to feel like it's been normalized. A pitiful state of affairs. Not to mention that Trump is a convicted felon who attempted to overturn the 2020 election, and is probably going to get away scott-free, with no consequences connected to any of his crimes---- save for the E. Jean Carroll case. (Civil, not criminal.)

If that does happen, I will never serve on a jury again. No way.

Wow, that didn't take long. Already we have president Musk rumblings. I bet that pleases Trump. I predict a total meltdown between them at some point. They are both used to being totally in charge. I know Musk will figure out how stupid Trump is at some point and won't be able to control himself even though he's only using him for his benefit.
  • Rasputin comes to mind when I ponder what historical precedents there may be with which to compare the presence of Musk in the new administration. Many presidents have had shadow cabinets, but I fail to come up with an example of an unelected actor who operates both behind the scenes and comes onto the stage to steal the show.
  • "steal the show" That's the key, Trump's head will explode when Musk is headline news and he's not.
  • At least this part might be fun to watch.
