Biden Pardons Hunter

edited December 1 in Off-Topic
The Guardian

“Decision marks reversal after US president said he would not use executive authority, but now says Hunter Biden was only prosecuted for political reasons “

  • Ya. Not sure how true that might be. Not too very long ago, the courts were functioning in a non-biased, non-partisan way, as I expressed in a different thread in Off-Topic. The fact that anyone should have to worry about political junk connected to the courts indicates an erosion of standards. But look at the Orange Doink's trials: his own appointed "Judges" slow-walked everything. Aileen Cannon even threw out the classified documents case. Might makes right.

Separate but co-equal branches of gov't? No more. He wants to reign, not preside--- the Orange Abomination. It already began, while the courts did his bidding in the period before the latest election. Project 2025. Boom. Such an Orange lying P.O.S.

Joe Biden might regret this. By granting Hunter a sweeping pardon “for any crimes he may have committed”, Hunter cannot plead the Fifth Amendment in any future testimony he may be required to give. He cannot incriminate himself with a blanket pardon. So, should the Biden Crime Family be investigated in the future and Hunter subpoenaed to testify, he will have no option but to do so or perjure himself. (A Biden lie? … unthinkable.)

This could get interesting. Old Joe’s days of pooping in his pants may be far from over.

    TDS meltdown in 3, 2, 1…
  • Trump will pardon the Jan. 6th sedition rioters who killed a few police officers.

But that will be fine. Those are fine people. We can overlook a few homicides. They were loyal to the cause.

Trump pardons his motley crew of campaign "managers" who have a long history of being caught breaking the law.

But that will be fine. After all, they wear nice suits and are loyal to the cause.

Trump has lawsuits dismissed because he is King of the new reich. He can shoot somebody on 5th avenue and just keep on walking.

But that is ok. Trump should always get a free pass. Why are people so mean to him? Don't they understand who he is?

Biden pardons his flesh and blood after being charged mainly because his father is president.

    MORAL OUTRAGE!

Now that you’ve had your Trump vent, perhaps you have a response to my point?

Sorry if I’m enjoying this. Fingers crossed the world survives until January 20th.

I have no respect for you or your trolling comments, so get back to your lame website where you no doubt censor any posters who aren't full on MAGA loyalists.

You are supposedly "sorry", yes, to be sure - but you are also just some dude in a European hut with a keyboard and a wifi connection.

NO RESPECT given, and none due.

So I assume you agree that my point is valid, since you have nothing to add.

Got to pack for a trip to Australia, so will leave you for now. Actually I’ve spent most of the year in London. A good friend is an MP from Glasgow. He believes Keir Starmer will be ousted and that Nigel Farage will become MP. Can you imagine a Trump-Farage alliance? The future has never looked brighter.

    Boring as hell, too.

EXACTLY. Kind of like a mini-me version of Orange himself. Overly self-absorbed and full of ***t.

  • And yet you guys seem to read every post on BB and follow my every movement. Seriously, you don’t think this MFO clone of “The View” is a little … disturbed?
  • Not this guy.
  • Again: trolling is for fish.

Not me, but I understand that you have spewed a whole lot of your personal information all over the internet. Even though you are running from country to country, you are making it easier for Interpol to catch up.

Kash Patel and Pam Bondi have publicly stated that they are on board with using DOJ as a mechanism of vengeance and retribution. The breath of the pardon suggests that President Biden understands that without that sweeping pardon, Hunter Biden could be targeted for a vindictive prosecution.

Trump will be in charge of the Federal Bureau of Prisons and in charge of Hunter's day to day life. I can understand why President Biden would not want his son to be put through that. I certainly would not want my son to be put through that. Would you want your stepson to be put through that?

I hope for all the above. It will be fun to see the screams on your side. Just like the Dems targeted T, it's time to target every Dem in every state and Fed court. The Dems gave us all the execuses.

With 96% of the vote in, Trump has, according to the Associated Press, 49.97% to Vice President Harris' 48.36%, or 76.9 million votes to 74.4 million. That's a whole lot of screams on my side. What is ever so sweet is that in the Atlanta metro area, 45% of the adults affiliate with the democratic party vs. 38% republican.

Sorry to see that you are such a bitter and troubled person, and it must be so difficult living amongst so many democrat's.

By the way, the word is spelled excuses, not "execuses".

Dems did not target T. .... The T did it all to himself. He was charged with crimes. Justly, appropriately. Now, he gets off, scott-free. Crime pays.

A helluva thing, for a felon to be able to just walk away from it all. We must come up with new rules, which do not permit political persecution in the courts, but still disqualify the likes of the Orange Sac of Pus. There were still cases pending over his actions. But he most certainly was convicted in NY. Was it 34 counts? Or 38? I lost track. FELON. Seems to me, this is the first Felon President.

I'm a deeply interested student of history.
Eugene Debs ran for Prez from jail. But he was a labor organizer who more than likely committed civil disobedience to make a point. The Trumpster cares about no one but himself. His crimes demonstrate that very thing.
  • You see first-hand how the GOP has become the party of hate, lies and felons. Their loyalists think like FOX News taught them to think. Blunt, simple hatred of "the other side."

Orange will weaponize the courts and legal system. Florida "judge" Aileen Cannon should be shot out of a cannon and into a jail cell. Crime does pay, but only if the perp can assign the judges.

Our Supreme Court is now an abomination - Clarence Thomas is a complete disgrace. Brett Kavanaugh raped a woman, but lied through his teeth to get past the review.

  • .....And yes, OK: Hunter gets to walk away, as well. I do not entirely like that.

Hunter got busted for having a gun and drug use. WOW.

He also might have used his Dad's name much in the way Jared Kushner and Trump's sons have done. So it's ok when Trump's family does it, but not ok when others do so?

There are far worse transgressions that go unchecked in our political sphere. This was a scapegoat situation. I only wish the Dems had the guts to shine a flashlight on Trump's family activities, especially Jared Kushner.

Then again, Trump himself owns publicly traded stock in his own company, but no conflict of interest there? Imagine if Biden owned stock like that - he would be burned at the stake.

There are 2 different standards here.
  • Correction: There is one set of standards, and another set of nothing at all.
  • The Biden pardon of his son's relatively minor criminal charges falls under the heading of actions that we all agree are fundamentally wrong and an abuse of the legal system, and that most of us would do anyway if we could.
  • It's interesting that folks are more outraged by a president pardoning his son for mickey mouse crimes than electing a felon for president. As we used to say in the military it's FUBAR.
  • USA = FUBAR.
  • Thereafter, it goes nuclear. Hey, at least the Russians will be happy.
  • Agree with OJ. Hunter's crimes were felonies. But the Orange Abomination IS a felony.
