@MFO Members: Glad to see this! Hope I'm still here to see the next million Regards, Ted Mutual Fund Observer celebrates its sixth anniversary with this issue. Hooray for us! Our official launch was May 1, 2011. Since then, we’ve enjoyed, and are grateful for, your company month after month. By happy coincidence, we celebrated the arrival of our one millionth reader sometime during the month of April.
As always, I thoroughly enjoyed your monthly commentary. One little caveat: I was doing the calculations on your MaxDD and portfolio impact for FPA Crescent and I think it should be 4.9 instead of 5.9, which is shown in the table. Can you check the calculation again? I multiplied 29 by .17 and came up with 4.93.
I'm doing the calculation on my current portfolio and found this MaxDD impact exercise to be quite interesting. Thank you for this.
Yuh, a reader pointed out that I was off on several numbers. I've asked Charles to recalculate and correct; I'll 'fess up next month.
In my defense, my PhD is in an intensely non-quantitative field which is one of the reasons why, in months where Morningstar doesn't happen just as we're trying to publish, I ask Chip to double-check all of it. Got crunched this month.

I'll link it here as these often get buried by the daily "Ted"al wave of other discussion topics.
