Why The ETF Acronym Can Be Misleading

FYI: Sometimes an ETF isn’t exactly an ETF.
As investors, the media and regulators put more focus on exchange-traded funds, it's worth asking what exactly an ETF is.

    Sometimes an acronym isn't exactly an acronym, either. IMHO, ETF isn't an acronym, as NATO, OPEC, radar, and laser are.

    Right; defined as pronounceable abbreviation (a losing cause almost certainly).
