using figures from ezbacktest and betas from yahoo for 5 year period results show:
FPACX beta 0.92 total return 47.4%
YACKX beta 0.93 total return 108.3%
In this case i prefer an OFFENSIVE FUND.
maxl, not to belabor the point but my tea leaves show yackx return for ten years at 12.1% and a beta of .76 while prblx is 9.5% and .87 beta.
am I missing something here...

I am very happy to be "still stuck with fundalarm," as it is , for me, the very finest information source on the Internet.
this side conversation is egregious.
rono, I suggest you explore another very good Matthews fund MCDFX which pays over 3.7 % with a low beta. It is pan Asia but concentrates on large dividend paying Chinese stocks. for Roth IRA this seems a good choice and I have been pleased with it.…
TNK is correct...my tracker makes no provision for autmatic dividend updates and this must be manually inputed under "edit".

I would not buy it because I think MACSX is a better investment, at this time.
My experience with david's evaluations has been excellent and I hope you are not disparaging his cogent evaluations.
am I the only one who views this as a commercial advertisement. MFO should be no place for shills trying to boost investments of an untested fund. philpill
