Another fund to consider for the mix is GLRBX. But like others I would not bet everything on a single horse. Spread your money on a number of funds mentioned in this thread.
Reply to @catch22: I hope you don't actually imply that it is OK for 12 year old girls to be touched by Dad at inappropriate places... I know you did not mean that. I'm messing up with you.
Having said that, I am OK with TSA screening 90 year olds …
Reply to @00BY: Last week, I've rolled over 3 older 401k plans which I have been holding because I liked a couple of funds but I finally chose to simplify. I've also merged wife's two Roth accounts back in November.

Reply to @MikeM: I agree. Payroll tax cut allows goes to the section of population that is more likely to spend it as opposed to save it. Spending in turn allows companies providing goods and services to increase their workforce or at least reduce t…

Reply to @BobC: Oh, that is a very hard constraint. I am looking at Conestoga Small Cap (CCASX) but it has assets around $170Mil. Perhaps, David can have this fund in his microscope some time.
Bernankes response:

He says: Reports contains errors and a lot of inflated numbers is a result of double, triple or quadruple counting.
Reply to @fundalarm: Maybe so but I believe it still riskier than most think. If it is yielding more than a money market fund, it is riskier. I still do not like these less transparent vehicles.
Reply to @Kenster1_GlobalValue: No really thanks for this more focused repost. I thought it was a good paper too. Given emerging markets have fallen big this year, some investors cooled to the idea right now. So, fund companies are looking at produc…
Thanks for pointing to this again. I've kind of pointed to the article when I posted about new Fidelity emerging market funds.

Reply to @fundalarm: I will disagree. In 2008 some Stable Value funds in 401k plans suspended redemptions because they had invested in largely illiquid, junk grade stuff. Higher yield in bonds typically implies lower quality when everything else is …

Reply to @msf: On the summary tab Fidelity reports 2.65%. On the Fees tab they actually reveal the effective ER after waivers. I think they really should report the current net ER (after waivers) Currently, Summary tab is misleading.

No it is not correct. I've seen a number of funds having wrong ER listed at Fidelity.
For this particular fund, if you check filings at M* and read Summary Prospectus you find it is 1.25% for retail shares after 1.40% expense waiver. Fidelity is no…

Here is another article that surfaces today. This time about Treasury Secretary Paulson tipping hedge fund friends:

This fund holds long term bonds, typically 30 years to mature from first issue. It is zero coupon meaning that someone split the original bond into two, zero coupon (strips) and the coupon trading independently.

David,
Thanks again for the monthly commentary and thank for your gift. I've printed the paper and will read it soon. Can I forward it to friends, family and co-workers? Some of them might be interested.
