Reply to @JoeNoEskimo: Fed's balance sheet can stay large and can shrink over time as the bonds they hold mature. The fed has no urgency to shrink its balance sheet. It does not need the money tomorrow or any time soon. Concentration on the balance …

Reply to @Sven: I used to invest in Artio Global High Income fund for a while. They kept the bond fund management under Aberdeen. Hopefully, this transition will be better for them.
I believe they are closing this to channel monies to new income fund Mr. Sherman is going to manage. They are most like to deny it but it very much smells like it.
Reply to @Maurice: I think you mean on earnings by 100% tax argument as your text can also mean 100% on deposited amount.

We all know there are some folks in the Fed and they have been consistently against QE etc. In each meeting, they dissent the decision. There are not enough of them to change the policy or they are not voting members at this time. So, while the pres…

Ironically this is what Fed wants. Fed wants risk taking…
This is a high risk, high return fund. In an upwardly trending market this one performs beautifully. It did particularly bad in 2008-2009 when the fund was new, the valuations were stretched. I did invest in this fund close when it was very new. Sol…

A few comments:
Fund ratings... The way it is presented is a bit confusing. All 20 year funds are listed in what seems to be arbitrary ordering. At least grouping their category would be nice.
