Seems unnecessarily complex, and very expensive. If you held this mix in a $1m portfolio, you would be paying at least $10,390 in fees each and every year (or more if portfolio grows). But if that is the price you wish to pay to SWAN, so be it.
I hear you, a2z. I am a big fan of Giroux, but I too wish the fees were lower. I still hold a fairly large (for me) chunk of PRWCX, but have been reducing it a bit to lower my overall portfolio expenses.
Glad this portfolio works for you, but your cheapest mutual fund charges 65 basis points. You are paying A LOT in expenses every year by holding “pricey” TRP funds accounting for about 75 percent of your total portfolio.
CGDV may not be discussed as much as Giroux’s funds, but I would hardly call it under the radar. It has more than $20B in AUM already. I hold quite a bit of both PRWCX and CGDV. Do not have any interest in TCAF for same reasons LarryB so eloquently …
You know what else puts this fund into perspective? The fact that it is more than 5 years old and has only attracted $273 million in assets. Maybe most people, like me, see the folly in paying a 1.26 expense ratio for a fund that routinely holds so …
A somewhat-related question on TRP Summit program. Do those of you who hold TRAIX, the institutional version of PRWCX, have any difficulties purchasing more if you hold it somewhere other than TRP — say, Fidelity, Vanguard or Schwab?
@David_Snowball, I appreciate you sharing your portfolio. One question I had is that it seems apparent you are not too concerned about investing in funds that have expense ratios north of 1 percent. For example, FPACX is very intriguing, but I have …
Giroux is great, but PRWCX was stellar before he came aboard (under Boesel, and Howard before him). I will be bummed if Giroux retires or otherwise goes away, but I don’t think this is like other key-man risk scenarios.
Like @Griffin, I am a longtime follower, but first-time poster. I felt compelled to chime in on this thread because it concerns two of my very favorite funds. I have held substantial positions in both AKRIX and EGFIX for several years and am very pl…
