David,
Thanks for your August update and the heads up that ARTSX will close tomorrow. It's been on my watch list forever so I put in a foothold today.
Enjoy the rest of your vacation,

I've made modest gains despite the ER in the 2 plus years I've held the fund. It has delivered as I hoped it would. Despite being advised otherwise, I do consider it a money market substitute and will park cash there as long as it continues to avo…
Thank you all for your comments. I forgot to mention that I do own MAINX. Think I could live without BERIX and DBLTX if something interesting turns up. I've cut PRPFX by 50% and thinking about letting that one go too.
Reply to @MaxBialystock:
I also own stock funds (about 40/40/20 stocks/bonds/cash). My objective with the bond funds has not been income but capital appreciation with less volatility. My concern is trying to understand what type of bonds I actual…
Had constant connectivity problems with a Linksys and then a Belkin router. Bought Airport Extreme 802.11n and all our wirelesss devices and Netflix streaming are working perfectly.
I've had a substantial investment in RPHYX for the past year and have not been disappointed. The low volatility and small incremental changes have made this feel like a CD or what one would hope for from a money market. I've considered going all …
Thanks for sharing your experience. Think I'll put it off as long as possible if cataract surgery is going to give me wrinkles and make my house dirty!
Sounds like a problem at your brokerage. It ended 2011 with a 3.83% gain. I purchased it July 5 and at that time it showed 2.48% YTD gain. It's currently up 0.66% YTD. Modest but consistant gains throughout with a couple of minor dips.
Bought ING Corporate Leaders after it came to my attention in July 2011. There's a lot to like about it, notig that it's very concentrated and contains a lot of energy.
I always have a bottom line number and when it gets approached I have to bail even though I own mostly conservative, balanced and flexible portfolio funds. The day of the first 5% rebound following the first 5% drop I sold about 50% of my fund inv…
Thanks for the update on RPHYX. There's a lot of interest in it right here.
BTW, I am so glad you brought RNDLX to my attention, it's holding up better than any other fund I own.
David's reviews of most intriguing new funds are always, well, intriguing. I currently have over 30% of my portfolio in Vanguard Prime Money Market. I read last week in Bloomberg.com that institutional money as been pouring out of MM funds based o…
I bought Yacktman early in 09 because I was and still am looking for funds with a preservation strategy. Its a favorite of mine. Moving to cash is obviously a good way to go in tough times based on the performance of YACKX.
