We are pleased to announce that the Intrepid Small Cap fund is Closing down.
Really ?
How about saying - Do to incompetent management and poor stock selection the Intrepid Small Cap Fund is closing down on November 22, 2024.
The 2 Star, negative…
Royce has gone from 34.32 billion in total assets in 2010 to 9.01 billion now per Morningstar, but even worse is Third Ave funds which had 10.53 billion in total assets in 2010 to 1.83 billion now. Massive drops indeed.

FMI seems like a outstanding Fund family, all 3 of there funds look to be well run.
To joe74, I will be buying FMIMX thru a brokerage, and do currently also have POAGX.
Royce funds have been a train wreck the past few years.
The fund thats closing ROIMX has attracted just 6.5 million dollars of assets in its 8 year existence , And is down 18.6% YTD.
Matter of fact, 16 of the 17 Royce Mutual Funds are down YTD.
Current Morningstar rating of the 6 Dodge&Cox funds show 4 funds with a 5 Star rating and 2 funds with a 4 Star rating.
Not to many fund companies with multiple funds can beat that.
